a ddo account for mothers day. Whoooooo all I can say is, I love her with all my heart but she cannot WADS/mouse to save her life. Goodblades has never been so frustrating lol. But it's all good maybe I can whip her into a killer yet. She rolled a pally and I made a healing shrine just for her to learn with. She is a WOW player and I finally persuaded her to try ddo. Took two years but she has finally seen the light!

Congrats. This game can be so much fun when played with a spouse. My hubby regularily ejoys the situations I get myself into.

As always Mythe is available should your wife have any questions while you are not around. Feel free to add her to the friends list.

LOL! Same here - tho here it was just the trial on wife's laptop for a while.

Luckily she didn't stay with it and is now back to her dumb Sims & Neopets games. ;) :p

Also suggest you step out into Cereulean Hills fairly soon. Nice sceneary and more iconic foes and the outside feel of encouters instead of all the sewers and basements and what not in the harbor. Let her go out on kobold isle for practice too. Show her how to get into the marketplace (20 gold bribe) and let her just look around a lot.

While my wife does not play, she does enjoy running characters around town and seeing what the NPC's have to say.

Show her the overall city map so she can get a feel of where she is in the city at times...

yea I'm not pushing too hard just want her to find her own groove. If it sticks cool if not oh well.

Perhaps a game pad of some kind? I use a Saitek Action Pad (model J33) in conjunction with the mouse. I bought mine 4 yrs ago for $3.99 at a Fry's, so you're not out much if it doesn't work for her.

Hehe, sounds like my mom. Whole lot of hand-holding to get her to "beginner" level, but it's worth it. Our static group really needs a sixth, and if I can't get her converted to DDO, I'll have to keep playing WoW with her ;)

have your wife trying using the arrow keys for movement and right control for jump at least she could move around a bit and have her play a fighter she wont have to worry about special keys much.

About a yr and a half ago, My hubby (Farrow) was playing DDO ALL day & night. He was constantly getting yelled at. " ARE YOU EVER GOING TO SLEEP WITH ME AGAIN?!?!?" .. "Yes you can leave, just shut the flippin computer off!!!"... "That is the same flippin quest you were on 2 hours ago my arse!!!" (I earned my name) Then one day he said. "baby, just sit down and try it..PLEASE!!!!!"

I gave in. (what can I say.. Sshh.. it did look kinda fun ) 1 1/2 years later here I am. My first toon "wifeaggro" (Cleric) is now lvl 16 and well respected .( I Hope) I even earnd honorable mention in the top clerics of khyber. Quite a feat if you ask me. She is the mother of 4. Whifeaggro lvl 6 bard. she was my frist drow. (she has been put on the back shelf for a while), Wyfeaggro lvl 13 bard/cleric (10/3), Wifeagro lvl 16 rogue & Shyznit lvl 2 ranger.

Where is hubby, one might ask..he stopped playin about 6 months ago. He got me hooked then bailed. ***??? He does pop on and play once in a while. when i ask real nice like. (could you imagine getting "wifeaggro" cause you DONT play?)

Anyways... I wish your wife the best of luck and i hope she gets as much enjoyment out of it as i do. There are many wonderfull people on Khyber. She wont have a problem getting guys & gals to walk her through quests and teach her what she needs to know, I didnt.

Happy Mothers Day as well.
