superior potency items

i just bid on a superior potency IV club.
says it increases effectiveness of spells by 50%

Is this ALL spells?

and if so, how does it effect my PK? Does it increase DC of it?
and my WOF? more fire damage?
what about repair serious? 50% extra hp's healed?

I just find it very vague, I could understand spells like MM and scorching ray - it increasing dmg by 50%, but all spells work differently.

I doubt spells like stoneskin and haste would be effected

It increases the amount of damage/repair that your spells do, I dont believe that it increases the DC's of your spells.

It increases damage, not saving throw dc.
It will work on your wall of fire, pretty much any basic damage/heal spell, and even some of the stat damagers (contagion is especially nice this way).

Check the spell description - it will work on anything that allows maximize/empower.

It'll also work on reconstruct and heal, which maximize/empower don't work on.

All it does for Phantasmal Killer is increase the damage foes take if they fail the Will save but make the Fort one. Instead of taking ~15 damage, they will take ~23 damage, and thus be aggroed harder onto you.

But for damage spells, the highest Sup Pot item you can get is the best thing in the game that you can have. Once you are level 14, Superior Potency 6 items are common enough now that you can easily get one and it will be the most important item in your inventory. (Sup Pot 4 or 5 is good to have until you get the Sup Pot 6).

that was coz there are some plat rich players who'd buy millions of firewall scrolls, ice storm wands, etc and spam them. this effectively make them "unlimited" in firepower


hmm.... just found 400 firewall scrolls in bank..... wonder where they came from.........

It's funny, I stocked up on a bunch of stuff before the change, thinking I'd either make a fortune selling it or really need it. For the most part, it all just sits in the bank. Lol

heh not dd scrolls thou..... someone bought 100 off the AH for 100k pp...... i still have 900 more :D
