regarding existential stalemate

Can you have a good alignment and not take a negative level from a tier 2 or 3 existential stalemate item? My buddy had the heartbreak of making a negative bow on his good ranger so i wanted to be sure of the particulars. Stalemate sort of implies neutrality i'd think (crosses fingers).

You can avoid a negative level.

The only time you will cop the neg level is if you make a weapon and put a negative material dominion upgrade (Unholy).

If you choose any other combination, you will not suffer this penalty.


My (lawful good) battlecleric has a set of goggles with Existential Stalemate, no neg level.
