Quick Help: Power Attack

Quick question needing quick answer.

I'm standing in front of the trainer right now about to take my 2nd level of Fighter (with Bard 5 currently)

For some reason, I can't take Power Attack as a feat.

Need to figure out why this is as I can't take Warchanter without it.

I have a 15 STR so I don't see the problem (13 without item, but still high enough)

Part of your str isnt coming from enhancements is it? has to 13 natural only things you can have added are level up and tomes.

If you have that 13 STR because of enhancement, that's why. You have to have a BASE str of 13. No enhancements, no items. Just Level ups, and inherent bonuses, like tomes.

I woulda put my lv4 point in it if I'd known that was the case.

I did reckon to look but it doesn't mention this titbit in the compendium or anything.

A better suggestion (IMO) would be to get yourself a +1 STR tome (these are very cheap now, 25k PP or less) and spend your precious levelup point where you really want it.

Remember: you can NEVER respec your build and levelup points, and you will regret the decision of putting it into Str later.
