I'm in game on Ghallanda, character name Lyksta, and I can't get to the help screen.
We are in WW and have a character who just bailed w/o logging out. Are we stuck? Is there someone here who can help?

We are in rescue Arlos and we all know you can't leave until the whole party gathers at the entrance.....
Everyone is just p***ed off and recalling. Wasted a lot of time. Pretty upset about this. It would be different if the in game help was working, but that is broken too.

We all just gave up. Not feeling good about Turbine right now.

Sorry this happened to you but I do not think it would be the fault of Turbine for that player to do what he did. That person could have a good reason, or not. In any case the only real option here is to start over and hope for a better run. It sucks, for sure but nothing Turbine can really do about any of that. Good luck though and happy gaming.

Not blaming Turbine for the player. But, their in game help isn't working so I couldn't contact a GM to boot the guy. This is the second time in less than a week that some player went off in the middle of rescuing Arlos and stuck the group. First time he came back after about 10 minutes. This time the guy just never came back.
Probably a quest design problem.

DId you even TRY to boot Him? I swear I've been able to Dismiss Link dead party members in a Quest.....

No, that is a person design problem. Something Turbine can never fix. Their in-game help has always had issue at one time or another, I do hope you can report on it later. I believe the game design as far as the no booting party memebers in quest is to keep that small number of players from grieving the rest of us. The type that if they could, boot you right before you open that last chest, or right when you are about to complete the quest....just because they might have thought it was "fun" to do. They are correct in making it the way it is. If people would behave better, Turbine would not have to have this feature like it is.

To answer the previous two posts:
The player was never link dead. I don't know how long the timer is, but the character continued to show as being in the game. I know that you can boot a player whose character goes link dead without any problem. And, yes, we did try to boot him several times.
The problem is a game design one because in fixing one problem Turbine creates another one. A timer that starts after every possible thing is killed, breakable destroyed, or whatever could be used to fix the problem (maybe).
The biggest problem is that WW is a "must do" quest (unless you want to spend gold everytime to move into the marketplace). It needs to be finishable in spite of players.
I do agree that Turbine is right to prevent (in normal situations) group leaders from booting players. Maybe it is just a situation where they can't do both things -- prevent thoughtless players from abusing the boot option and also code the module so that it can eventually finish.

The best thing was you all should have left the dungeon and one by one every one should have left the party and formed again and you all should have easily got the player booted out. It was so simple.
