The maul and helm are on Goobag, my Dwarven Barb14/Ftr2.

The goggles are on Tyrax my Drow Cleric 16. He's got a 34 Cha so I really like the +6 to Cha skills. The 300 extra spell points are nice too! :D

This necklace will go on Goobag when I get the Cleansing Essence.

This necklace is on Delenn, my Rog10/Rngr4/Ftr2. She's not so squishy now!

Here are two Radiance II Rapiers I crafted for Delenn. The Blinding effect means automatic Sneak Attacks!

Here's my Lightning II Hevay Repeater. I saw a Lightning Strike against a Beholder that did 683 point of damage! This is being used by Gilgamesh, my WF Ftr/Wiz.

To be honest...Green steel items completely ruined the need to find good DPSers... Find a +5 Holy Burst ada kopesh of pure good? Too bad! People can create better(with a lower min lvl too!)

Still takes time to get those things completed..

It does take alot of time to get these items completed. Why take away from that? Besides,
you don't need a good greensteel weapon to be a good dpser. This goes back to the
whole is it the build or the player debate.
To Arkat: That's an awesome collection! You should be very proud of what you have accomplished there. :D

The problem with that, is that it diminishes the value of normal loot.
Well, that and the fact that some of the green steel accessories offer too much power for our own good.

Yeah, it diminishes the value of normal loot for people who have the capabilities to make GS items (resources, time,
player skills, inclination) but for those who have never been in the shroud or don't play that much the normal once
"uber" loot is still very valuable. One might actually argue that the value of now deemed trash items has gone down
in some cases on the AH and you can find alot of useable level 12 and up items on the vendors as well. I guess it's
a perspective thing - whether from the point of view of a casual player or a multi capped character resource rich player.

But someone who can't craft one of these is further behind because of the power of the said items.
Shall I say +6 to UMD? +150 HP? +45 HP? Those aren't small upgrades there.

I totally agree with your point if you were to consider a party makeup of mixed GS item users and non GS casual players.
My only thought is that the average player with no shroud experience probably doesn't group with the GS equipped people much.
But you are right, any GS equipped character has a definite advantage. I guess my thought is if you don't know what you are missing,
you aren't really missing anything and your game experience isn't diminished.

That's not true.
It's like everything. The more power they add to this game, the more the game will become "hard". Just look at mobs to-hit and how much it inflates every module. It's becoming higher and higher... because Turbine is balancing for the upper part of it. It'll be the same thing for HP now. Mt sorcerer was sitting at 178 HP for a while. With all the gear, I can get him to 257 HP. That's a huge gap.
Same things for SPs. Or Cha.
Players with Shroud gear play the same game. They influence each other.

I think we can both agree that the difference between shroud equipped players and non is very tangible. What I am trying to argue
is that the gameplay experience hasn't been "wrecked" so to speak for a non GS wielding character. Yes, you are totally
correct in stating that Turbine seems to be amping up end game content based on the potential
potency of the elite players. However, normal players can still play and enjoy this game (even the high end raids not
including the Abbot) on normal difficulty for certain. Teamwork, tactics and leadership make up the most
important aspects of completing these raids on normal. Sure, Harry might not go down in 1 round, but atleast for myself,
some of the most exciting moments have come from pulling something off that you have no business doing.
That kind of game experience is still there for normal players on normal and elite GS equipped players on elite difficulty.

You're right, it doesn't take the fun away from the game, but regardless, such a disparity is unhealthy for the game.
Because you can "workaround" doesn't mean it's good for the game.
