5 man Shroud 1-3

This may or may not seem like a great accomplishment to some!! I am not one to normally post in a forum of these types because yes it is bragging, but I just wanted to give the guildies a lil props to the community on a well run and extremely smooth run!!
We where bored and decided lets try and low man the first part for fun and maybe go on if we succeed.
Now we did this with a rogue, battle bard, cleric and 2 tanks no casters!!!:eek::D
Was a normal run.
Part 1-1 portal keeper spawned dead 2 seconds later!!
Part 2-No deaths had fire, kobald, devil, and gnoll not a easy pull went off beatifully.
Part 3-No Wall of doom all puzzles done and watered by us before it spawned!!:eek::D
We thought of going on but thought it wouldn't be cost effective.
Honestly I believe we could of done it but was shot down!!:D:D
We in total used under 30 heal scrolls and no pots!!:eek::D
Just wanted to give a lil recognition to them on a job well done and one of the funnest runs been on in awhile!!

Great run and loads of fun and would recommend if you low man it make sure ya trust and know the people you are running with one mistake is all it will take for a wipe!!

I think you mean. They figured it would take too many resources. So they quit after part three.

would be some doubt.. The time it takes you to kill the gnolls with just 5 ppl really cuts into the time you have to dmg the pit fiend.. Meaning if they did pull it off, it would take something mad like 10+ rounds and allot of mana potions.

We attempted a 6 man version shortly after this 5 man and did go onto part 4. We ended up having to quit before finishing it due to some bad timing with the meteor shower on our 5th round with him at about 40% health left. However, the fight was looking promising up to that point and we do feel it can be accomplished without too many resources. You are right though, it will probably take 8-10 rounds in total and resources will be an issue for sure. The Gnolls were certainly a challenge, but with organization and teamwork, they can still go down quite quickly, although it can get a little hectic :)

We did complete an 8 man part 4 last night in 5 rounds, no great feat at all, but we are learning what can and cannot be done with smaller groups and the strategies required to pull off what is needed. At this point we haven't attempted to go onto part 5, as we are taking our low-man attempts one step at a time.

Low-man runs require a specific group setup and people that can work together really well and can adjust to things as they come up. Bilger's post was not meant for bragging and certainly was not the intention of his post. It was meant to be an inspiration for those who think they might want to give low-manning this raid a shot. I have no doubt it can be done, and without a huge amount of resources. It's just a matter of finding the correct strategies (not bugging) and a team setup that works well to pull it off.

Beating our heads against a wall ? Probably. Waste of time & resources ? Most likely also. But, if nothing else, at least we're having fun trying while adding some spark to what is now pretty much a grind otherwise. That is what a game is supposed to be about, having fun :)

I wish the best of luck to those who are thinking of low-manning this raid.
