The Pit on Elite

So a group of us went to do the Pit. On Elite, myself & most of the rest of us having never done it before. 5 Hours & 2 party wipes later we finally finished it. Man that one is rough. However that is not the cool part - we killed the uber-ooze at the end & 3/6 of us pulled muck's doom. Sweetness!

Congrats! I haven't been in there since before the last Mod. I bet the traps were nasty! Nice pulling those MuckDooms too. Hehe, I've been in there a dozen times with my wife and we never seem to pull one out of the Avatar's chest. :( ( My wife says it's not meant to be..LOL)

The only traps that got much worse were the lightning room. The force traps that are everywhere in the quest (after room #3) still hit for about 20-25 damage each on elite - quite ignorable - but the lightning room requires some serious skill to survive in a level-appropriate group.

Oh, and the acid trap (the one early that you can turn off with a valve) will kill people that don't know it's there. That's always good for a laugh :)

Someone posted an lfm the other asking for help getting a quick 9 points of favor.

I thought to myself "great, I can help someone hit 1750, and they'll get their +2 tome and unlock 32 pt builds!"

Took that person through the pit elite. Got it done, he/she got their favor...400 favor. I'd just helped someone unlock drow. Oh the shame of helping someone who wanted to play a frickin drow. I feel so dirty.

OK funny you mention it. My buddy and I have never done this one before. The guy who had said he can lead us through, show us the ropes. Me, I am just interested in finishing quest, my buddy, he wants to know each and every detail. So before we all enter the guy who said he would lead us say - "I will lead us through this & keep you informed of things coming up so we all know whats up. I will share my knowlege with you so we can avoid dying and finish this in a quick run through. If you have any questions feel free to ask I don't mind sharing my what I know with you, and I know the Pit well". We as a group ran up the first ramp & 3 of us ran right into that trap. We died. His response: "oh yeah, don't stand there".
It was hilarious!!! He got better & we rez'd and kept going & honestly it was slog through that we were just too stubborn to quit so we won by not quitting and the guy really was very helpful & knew the place well, he just didn't mention that one thing when it would have been helpful!
