Skinning and the map

I have downloaded the ddolite and the lite red black skins. Both are really nice but when I use it I don't get the map. Does anyone else have this issue?

Addressed in previous threads.
I think you have to turn it back to default before you close or something.

But, that's exactly why I don't attempt to fool with it.
