Greetings fellow sorcerers!
After a bit of a long hiatus, I have returned to DDO and have decided to start anew with a sorcerer as my character. Unfortunately, the last time I played was before module 1 was even released, so I'm a bit behind on the changes.
I am currently starting with what I hope to be a decent CC sorcerer, with a bit of nuke to round out the edges. Is this kind of build viable mid and end-game for a sorcerer or am I better off just going straight for the big damage bombs?
Also, what kind of advice would you give for this kind of build? Must have spells, feats, enhancements, etc..?
Any particular habits of CC that I should avoid in order for my party to not leave me to be eaten by the beasts?

I consider my curent build a balanced sorc i can CC but with less varity then a pure Cc buidl i can Nuek hard when i nuke btu with less varity then a PURE nuke build, i can buff a bit below i will list soem of what i have you can use it:
Feats:
Empower
MAximize
Highten
Extend
Spell pen
Gtr Spell Pen
Skill focus UMD
Skils: UMD and Cioncentration maxed with various other points in jump/balance/dip.
SPells:
1-Jump, Hypno, night shield, ..... can't rember the last one atm it;s somethign i'm purty sure I use a lot to.
2-Resist energy, Scorchign Ray, Blur, Web(currently Knock fro shroud need to swap blur to web i think)
3-Pro energy, Displacment, HASTE, Rage
4-Fire sheild, Enervate, WoF, PK
5-Telaport, CoC, Mind fog, Symbol of pain
6-distigrate, FtS, Acid Fog .. NOTE I scroll G-hero
7-FoD, disco ball
8-meh they all suck playign with dance atm, shoud has seom fun CC abilities but unles syou turn max and emp off it's expensive CC for a short duration ... IF i can ever find Sup/gtr glaciation/potency 8 I will pick up polar ray for sure may get it soon to play with a bit.
I consider ALMOST every spell i ahev a must have, Acid fog coudl be Solid fog but A fog spell is a must have nowadays, Blur i will drop fro web when i rember to as i can just use displacment... Enervate coudl esaly be droped but darn it it;s a fun spell :) level 5 is mostly **** T-port and CoC are the must have the other are meh somethign to fil lti up mindfod was goten in Prep fro when i save up enough stones and swap in Trap the soul for level 8 farmign for 3 days.

I think arcanehealers build is perfect for ya, second vote for that to start. Personaly I like for feats 1. Empower 3. Extend 6. Max 9. Force of personality 12. Enlarge 15. Spell pen 1. Enlarge and Mass suggestion as a level 6 spell have a special place in my heart I will admit though. Gl and have fun with a great class to play. Suggest enhancment maxing the fire/ice chains for super fire walls mostly.

Umm, it has been a while, and I have a Level 14 wiz, but I recall that Combat Casting was a must have. I couldn't count all the times I interupted my spell casting by moving before I picked it up.

you dotnintrupt spelel by movignany more, it just slowes yourmovment down ofr the cast time.

Your movement is not slowed if you jump and are in the air while casting.
