Though it has been announced in the announcements forum by a player that voting is now open, I thought I'd post this here, as I haven't seen another topic on it that people can see easily.

Round 4 has started. Turbine vs. BioWare.

BioWare:.With a landslide victory over No. 1 seed Ubisoft, BioWare makes it to the Great 8, and gets ready to duke it out with Turbine.
Turbine: Lord of the Rings fans voted in force, causing the untimely demise of No. 2 Capcom. Will the epic MMO's fans continue to rally around Turbine against BioWare?

As of 1:57 PM CST, the score is Turbine 61 (53%) to BioWare 54 (47%).

Couldn't decide between the two myself, since I love both companies, but went with Turbine in the end. ;)

If you mean NWN 2, it was not developed by Bioware.. Was developed by Obsidean.

And the original NWN 2 Was buggy as all hell... good story though... The expansion for it... was much better

Edit: Obsidean is the left overs of what used to be Black Isle Games.. The developers of BG, BGII *just an assist for these*, Icewind dale, Fallout 1 & 2, Planescape: Torment

Argh! I can't decide!

On the one hand, DDO really is a superior MMO to any on the market right now.

On the other hand, if I pick up a Bioware game, I know I'm going to enjoy it. KotOR, NWN, Jade Empire... All great games.

When I think of my best times in Gaming... I always thing Bioware.. no one compares.. Not even close..

Agreed, almost exactly (Though more memories on the Turbine side than BioWare!).

Now, I'm just curious how it will look with Harmonix, if we have to go up against them. . . Both have loyal fan bases. . . Both have very stunning games (Not to mention it's going to take me at LEAST an hour to decide between Rock Band or DDO! ><). . .

It'll be fun to watch. :3

Ive voted and been following quietly, and all i have to say is if they think that what they are seeing is the masses of DDO voting, they have no idea lol. Im sure with very little effort, a resounding last minute plea would result in a landslide victory for the rest of the tournament.... Id like nothing more (secretly of course) then to bury all doubt for some of those who say we're cheating, or fanbois, or think that its stupid to support a game you enjoy, or idiotic to support a company that takes care of its player base (even if sometimes we dont agree).

But, thats just my opinion....

Well it looks like Turbine pulled through and is on to next round we go to our corrospondant in the field for analysis."

"They made it through. But turbines point guard Kate has trouble making the long distance shots, yet makes up for it by not sitting back and driving it in for the shot as soon as possible, trying new plays, and bringing alot of innovation to the lackluster strategies we've seen in the past. Agressive player wins and she's a definate upgrade from David who kept forgetting this was basketball and kept trying to change the rules to cricket.
Looks like the strength is in there big guns Eld and Keeper who can really box out those players and take the shots on a regular basis. They showed that tonight with Eld setting up the defense and passing to Keeper for several big dunks that got the crowd into it. From that point it was all over for Bioware.
They've really stepped up their game from last season where we saw many unusual plays one they called the Abbott that kept failing miserably leading to alot of turnovers. They have since switched their attack to a 3 - 2 and a Shavarath defensive scheme thats really worked out for them this year.
Turbine had alot of significant wins this season over the Dark university Doomsayers, and the Complaining State Winers. That should make them tough enough to push through the next opponent.
Its time to start taking this team seriously, they aren't just happy to be at the dance. Looks like their ready to take over the DJ table, the dance floor, and take all the women home early.
Look for turbine in the final.
