i'm not sure how to fix the problem, so here's a lil bump so this gets back
up in visual range of folks.
my advice would be to go to turbines site with their online help for ddo
whilst you wait for a response here.
the link is http://turbine.fuzeqna.com/turbinesupport/consumer/kbdetail_qaonly.asp?kbid=18&ao=t
unfortunately the "online chat" function is currently down but there are still the faq's and you can
send an e-mail.
hope this helps at least a little. good luck and cya in stormreach

Posting the text of the error would be most helpful :) Unfortunately without it there is little we can do.

If you are receiving this message, it could be because the shortcut which runs the Invoker (DDO icon) has the wrong "Start in:" folder. To determine if this is the case, please follow the instructions below.
Click Start
Click Games
Right-click “Dungeons and Dragons Online” icon
Click Customize
Select “Play”
Click Edit button
“Start In” should read “C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons and Dragons Online\
If the Invoker has the correct “Start in” folder, open a command window. To do so:
1. Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right Click on Command Prompt
2. Select: Run as Administrator
3. type: cd "C:\program files\turbine\dungeons and dragons online\"
4. Hit enter
5. type: regsvr32 .\PatchWrapper.dll
6. Hit enter (you should get a success message)
7. type: regsvr32 .\PatchWrapperPS.dll
8. Hit enter (you should get a success message)
9. Try launching the game again.
If the registration fails, you will see a descriptive message (rather than just an exit code) which should help you find the exact problem.
