I was doing some more research awhile ago on Gold/Plat Farming and I came across an article off a WoW-based website. It mentions that WoW has a FAQ's link within their website with some good information such as: What Gold-Farming is, how it effects the game, consequences, definitions, etc. So my question is, why does DDO not do this? Make a permanent thread for all to see so there can be no question Turbines stance against plat farmers/sellers? It would do alot to inform new and old players alike about this issue. I would go a step further and suggest DDO bring back that splash screen that had up awhile ago about buying plat/items when you log it. Wouldn't hurt to have that screen appear a few times a month for a day or two at a time. You could also put a link to the Anti-Player Farming FAQ page you could make within that splash screen.

I still think the best thing they can do is.....
as soon as a player is found to be a farmer by the devs, all his toons on his account should have a rainbow colored name over its head. This should designate that toon as such and immediately open up the ability for other players to pvp the toon and kill it.
Some will stand guard at mailboxes just to do this over and over.
And for those 'traders' who insist on using the LFM for trading things, the dev should allow a 2 hour period for all the toons on that account to be killed by anyone or anything with the same rainbow designation. THe two hour period should be extended by the length of time the dork left the trade LFM up for.
would make some of us feel good and stop mails and trade LFMS a lot...:)

Note that goldfarming activities are inherently more damaging to the gameplay of WOW than DDO. WOW is a rivalrous game, where players are sharing the same instance with hundreds of others who are competing with them to get the loot from the zone. Professional goldfarmers camping monster spawns are actually obstructing real players from enjoying them.
