Guys,

Last night we (lvl15-16 pug) were running token runs @ Invaders. We had a solid group with a Pally, three casters and a rogue. Then after a few clean, easy runs a Bard joined in. Man we got schooled :) He was a lvl 16 (bard12/pally4 mutt). This guy could've solo'd that quest if he wanted to. The rest of us kind of became spectators. He would take on the 3 beholders + 2 Ice Flensers + 2 Flesh Renders (all at the same time) and come out unharmed. Seriously, the whole group was highly impressed. After we were done running a few times and were done with our token runs and group disbanded. I forgot the spelling of his toon's nickname and couldn't ask him details about that toon's build. But I'd be very interested to know how he pulled that build together. I've pugged with many a bard -- and good ones at that -- but I've never seen anything like that (granted, it's probably mostly due to his skills, but I'm sure the build was no accident).

Do any of you want to share your build's details (if you're a battle bard)? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to "spam" this board.

Peace.

*Blinks a few times in disbelief*

Bards require a non-lawful alignment. Paladins require a lawful alignment. Unless he got bit by the alignment change bug I don't think that might have been the character class make-up.

My guess is it was a developer in disguise with the no dying and alignment does not matter program running..

hmmm ... that would be funny -- and make complete sense! Though ... if I see him around again, I'll ask and make sure he was a pally 4 (might be my eyes playing games on me). Though ... I don't want to undermine his skills though. He was really good -- developer or not.

Peace.

P.S.: @Argonessen.

That was one of my Unified Theory bards, Philander. The mystery four levels are fighter, not paladin.

PM sent.

Oh yeah and my other point (that went unanswered) ... what about tried-and-true bard/tank mutts? I'm close to my 1750 fav and would like to try a some sort of bard mutt once I get a 32-pt build (clerics and pure breed tanks aren't for me and I already have couple of casters).

Peace.

Why PM? Put the build up here for all the aspirants to see!
