As you can tell by the paltry levels in my sig, I've been gone from DDO for a long, long time. A friend convinced me to give the game another go. Anywho, I've been browsing the site on my laptop while my desktop chugs through the HUGE amount of patching. I've come across something called "dragonmark" feats. They seem neat but the description in the feat section isn't really clear on how they work. Could someone clue me in? Do they use up a regular-every-third-level feat slot or do they work like a wizard's bonus feats? Some of them seem really worth while.

Lets see if I can help a little the dragonmark feats take up a regular feat (no bonus wizard or figher feats can be used). The most useful ones are as follows

1. Halfling mark of healing(need to take it all the way to greater 3 feats) can work out to be a nice amount of healing

2. Human mark of passage (need to take it up to lesser 2 feats) having ddoor on a character level 6 can be useful sometimes

3. elf mark of shadow(need to take it up to at least lesser 2 feats) displacement can be useful

4. dont really see much use for the dwarf or the other human mark.

Go to the wizards of the coast site and read up on the dragonmarked houses for some more info. You can use enhancments to increase how many uses you get of your dragonmarks, and each level you take gives you more uses of the lesser abiltiy as well

Thanks for the explanation. These lines of feats certainly do make it seem more reasonable to play as a wizard. When I first played a couple years ago it seemed as if everybody was on the sorcerer bandwagon for being superior due to a small spell pool to choose from. Those extra feats for a wizard really open up these dragonmark feats.
