Does anyone happen to know all of the weapons that will work on red names? I believe Strength Sapping works for sure, but what are the others? Any info would be much appreciated. Made a pally for high saves, able to hit just about anything, backup heals, buffs party, and works on enemy's stats, not dps, etc. So I'm researching known weapons that will work on red names, so I can look to acquire some to be useful against the bosses. Thanks.

If you have the time, I would do these in order...

Destruct the name so it is easier to hit...-4 to ac, i.e. +4 to hit.

crippling works and there is no save (unless they are immune and I am sure a few are, but most are not). This will slow by 50%

Slowburst (requires save) will cause another 50% slow and 30% slower attack.

Curse spewer to get even lower saves to keep slowbursting (once in a while swtiching to destruction and crippling again).

Doing these in order will bring the rednamed to a stop and pretty much ensure little damage to the party. The ac will be -4, it will be -4 to hit and save, and will basically not move. It will seldom attack and rarely teleport.

Not sure if strength sappers work on red named, if they do, just whack em after slowing them and then they are toast.

Slowburst doesn't work on red nameds (it triggers an immunity graphic)...

... however I can confirm that strength sapping does (if you can get them to fail the fortitude save). I've used strength sapping several times to prove that red nameds can be made STR helpless.

I've heard Maiming hits them as well - though I have not tried it myself.

Maiming is hitpoint damage. All effects measured in hitpoints work on red named monsters.

Technically speaking, maiming is "untyped" damage and it works on all mobs. But yes, maiming is just additional hit point damage.

Technically speaking it is untyped hitpoint damage (as opposed to str or con damage).
