View Full Version : Very frustrated

In the mist of last night’s event, I lost connection with an error message – I do not recall what it said exactly, but I think it was “your account is busy” or something similar. I attempted to log back in and have since been stuck at the loading screen that reads “Cleaning up old connection…” I submitted the technical support e-mail, and have twice petitioned on the Khyber server for assistance to no success. My in-game tickets were both closed while I was offline – the first I waited 3 hours before going to sleep and the second I waited for over 5 hours before logging off for dinner.

Rather than try to assist me, I was told (in the message the GM left in the closed ticket window) that I would just have to wait until Monday when the servers reset. Now, I completely understand that some situations are very complex and the GM may not have had the power to assist me. However, I pay to be able to play at my leisure, when I have the time.

“Apologies for the delayed response. We've been trying to resolve the issue on a case-by-case basis without a world reset so some of you may see relief before the maintenance. Unfortunately for many of those impacted your characters will likely remain stuck until tomorrow's maintenance. We're working as quickly as we can on this issue. DDO's worlds are running on pretty sophisticated systems and it's not a simple process to reset the worlds and/or free the characters.

Again, my apologies for both the initial issue and the sub-par response. We expect to resolve the character issues by tomorrow and will continue our efforts to improve communications and customer service going forward.”

Is there a particular reason rather than assist me on the case-by-case basis, I was just told tough luck until Monday?

All characters that are stuck in this state will need to wait until the maintenance Monday in order to be fixed.

Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
