Kinda sad not seeing it there anymore. It was kind of a vocal point in the market. I am sure the adventurers of Stormreach dropped enough coin in repair costs that the vendors could afford a new giant tent :).

/Waves from his sniper position, where he's gonna down anyone rebuilding a tent instead of a nice open air market. :D

Actually I would also like the feel of an nice open air market, but the tent was a separate instance and uneffected by a crowded market instance. So in the end I have to go with "Return the tent." simple for performance.

Actually why can't you have both. A small low wall surrounding the open air market. Can't cross them. Stone archway to enter and then you instance in. Visually you would see the market from the outside and when you instance in you would see stormreach. Best of both worlds.

Pointless. If an instance becomes crowded, the server can spawn Marketplace-2.

I like the idea of moving the vendors around some. It's been that way for so long that I think a new place would be good for them. Plus the old tent was way to big for them. If you needed stuff from the top level, it was a bit of a jog to get there. I personally wat the vendors to be spread out all over the place, but set up differently too. I'd love to be able to seel any level equipment to any broker. That sale would have the sold items show up in the appropriate inventory, but onlyh purchase from specific ones. Doesn't that sound better? you could sell all of the loot you don't want in Meridia or Gianthold to one of the brokers, and then when it's shopping time, still find what you are looking for at the correct broker. Now is the perfect time to play with the vendors. maybe we can banish some of them back to the harbor where their "masterwork" stuff can be appriciated...

I don to want the tent to come back in it's old form, it should be a part of the Market instance instead, where you can see through the tent door, and where you can just walk in with out zoning in.

it would also be cool if the market had wandering N PC's (shoppers) a tavern area, brawling pit/fighting cage, or even an arena.

There should also be skulking pick pockets who lift small change and small non bound items.

I would also like to see a shadowy rogue type who sells rare and exotic items, like bludgeoning arrows with sap chance, poison arrows, lock pick equipment, hearing instruments, ropes, telescoping rods, grappling hooks, potions of extended length invisibility, and wands with mundane powers like knock, masters touch, etc.....

Just floating some ideas

PS a portal in the market would not hurt either. Especially one that will take you to Meridia once you have been there once.

The necropolis tavern is separate, but open to, surrounding areas. I'd like to see something like that. Or, Perhaps the vendors could scatter through the market area, and not cluster in one spot.

That crater does feel like an opportunity for something, though. Heh, maybe a SUNDIAL.

No new tent please.

An open air market would be much better. And with the new market in place, I'm sure all the brokers would like to move there. Heck that might even lead to something being at the brokers because it wouldn't have as much time to reset.

As for the lag... PLEASE devs, recognize that your 50 person arbitrary cap is too many people. Cut the number to 30 and put new people in the least populated instance, not the lowest one with a spot.

All the vendors are in the Rusty Nail... it's a separate instance as well, so you really haven't lost anything.

I like the idea of the game world changing and evolving... I'd like to see this kind of thing continue.

i bet it was a great source of lag in the market and we are better off without it.

I didn't realize the cap was so low, but yes they need to lower it (or improve throughput so that more people can be active in an instance at the same time).

They also need to remove the ability to enter a "full" instance.

didnt we have that at the start? didnt people complain about having to run all over the place to sell stuff? so the devs put them all in one place. i like havin em all in one place. makes it fun. ive never understood though, maybe it was explained and i missed it. why were the lowest tier weapon and armor venders moved, but the rest were kept in the respective houses? was there a reson for it?

I think they should install a teleport there so you can to the houses from the market.

I figured they'd just leave the hole for a few years, and maybe build a PATH station in one corner.

The heck with replacing the tent.
We were promised reward for defending the Marketplace and Stormreach.
Just wait till the Coin Lords get my repair bill. They better come off the purse strings.

I'm glad the tent is dead! There, I said it! Glad!!!

The only thing I'd like to see spring up in it's place is a monastery (to explain the sudden appearance of monks) or a central park (to explain the sudden appearance of druids). Barring those two - I'd like an unexplained appearance of a monument to a kind, imaginative, bespectacled man who made the world a better place.

I'd like to see the tent replaced with something else. Like Riddikulus said, it's nice the see the world change over time.

Never to early to start arguing over the monument and the design of the new tent.. Veheer needs a megaphone though...

They should just put lines of walls, with doors to more quests :P
