Tough one to figure out

Like the subject says, this is a tough one to figure out ...

Occasionally my PC will freeze up while playing.

I can't CTL-ALT-DELETE.

I can't ALT-TAB.

I can't do anything.

The only solution is to shut the PC down and start over.

I play on a high end PC with a high end video card (will get the specs and update later when I am not at work :)).

Does anyone else get these random crashes that freeze up their whole PC. I know it is not lag.

my computer meets all the requirements for the game, but for a while i used to get the same thing and I didnt know where to turn. I however implemented a weekly process (every Sunday morning) where I clean my hard drive and defrag it as well. Either its a coincidence or this method has effectivly eliminated my problem as I have not had this problem in a very long time (cant remeber last time). But that might be one aspect and I recommend you try this. If you have already - then im at a loss.
