So I was bored and decided to solo the Twilight Forge. I couldn't complete the quest of course, since the red puzzle requires three people to complete, but I did make it to the Titan, completion time was about 45 minutes. Note to self; don't DD from the golem fight.

Good job.

I think I know how you got through all the tunnels to get all the crystals, but that's not something that should be discussed here. ;)

Reconstruct. Great spell.

At first I just assumed this was BS - but I suppose it could be possible if he was able to self-heal and run down the security tunnels with the wrong crystal. However, I'm not sure how many times he might have had to do this since if I recall correctly, there may be more than one red/yellow and it'd have to be repeated more than once - and I'd assume that if he's a caster/divine to self-heal, if he got interrupted even once...

Oh and just a comment. Why would you think the SIMPLE act of running down the wrong tunnel with any given crystal would be considered an exploit? He's not avoiding anything the quest does to him to discourage that act...he may just be a heck of a lot tougher than they were thinking when they designed the quest.

I would add that Dimension Dooring from the golem fight would have been an enormously bad idea. I don't remember if I've ever seen the barrier drop without actually killing all of them and after they were triggered. I'd guess doing this wouldn't be recoverable normally.

Drandsemont is a 16 Sorc. I got to the golem room my first run, but forgot that the barrier goes up if you don't kill all the golems. Second run through I didn't make the same mistake. At least now I'll remember (I hope).

Running down the halls is the only way, but not an exploit. I'd call it an oversight at most, a challenge at least. Yes, being interrupted is a huge hurtle to overcome, with the beams doing 40-50 dmg a pop. For the record, I had to run down the "wrong" hall three times.

That makes sense - you'd have had to restart and never would have come close to 45 min otherwise. Had a guy with me one time that aggro'd the golems when it was just he and I in the room - silly me, instead of using the JUMP option, I d-doored out. We had to wait until the Red Puzzle was done to get back into the chamber.

Sorceror makes sense too - with enough HP and the shorter cooldown time, you may actually have had a second chance if one casting failed. As I said previously - doing this is simply an example of following the quest exactly the way it's built, just shrugging off the *incentive* not to do something because the character is tougher than perhaps they'd expected when it was designed. It would also make sense that a similar attempt at 12th level would have failed (in part because you wouldn't have had disintegrate & reconstruct prepared at the same time) because you'd not have had enough HP...perhaps not at 14th either.

If I had really thought about it, I bet it could have been done at 12 or 14. I just never really bit the bullet and tried it myself until now.

Gratz Jolani. Its certainly fun to try stuff like this, isn't it. :D

Here is proof (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=1531174&postcount=44) of this being done a month ago at level 14 (as that was the level cap).

As for how:

Complete up to the first tunnel section.
Grab a purple crystal.
Do the purple side (factory).
Grab a red crystal.
Run down the blue hallway (I used quickened reconstruction to make it down, the corners are lethal if you don't pace yourself with less than 240 HP).
Kill the golems.
Open the Red and Purple doorways.
Dimension Door to the beginning.
Use the shrine.
Destroy your red and purple crystal.
Grab a green crystal.
Do the green puzzle side (foundry).
Grab a blue crystal.
Run down the blue hallway and open the Blue and Green doorways.
Run back to the green puzzle room.
Destroy your blue crystal.
Grab a yellow crystal.
Run down the blue hallway (pain ensues again after another series of laser zaps).
Open the Yellow doorway.
Shrine.
Dash down to the end.
Fry the lord illithid.
Get to the end, take a screenshot, do a victory dance.

I hate to necro such an old thread like this, but I'm wondering if this is still possible??

Still able to reach the Titan Raid portal solo? or does it require 2 people, 3 people? My friend and I are looking into trying to 2-man this raid for the fun/challenge of it.

Thank you in advance! :)

Three living people are required to do The Twilight Forge (pre-raid).

One person is required to do Twilight Forge Core (raid).

They have put up Black Barriers aside from the simple colored barriers, and all of them would be simple enough to hit, except that one is under water in the Red puzzle, so the red puzzle has to be done.

It might still be possible, but i'd have to look at the schematics and see if thereis an order that possible.

Just make a Druid, Artie, or Necro. A pet can pull one of the levers.

Did you really just necro a six year old thread, just to say that? lmao
