Can you use Bluff to generate Sneak Attacks without Improved Feint? Sorry, should know the answer, but drawing a blank...

yes, the tricky part is staying facing a mob and staying close enough while your little yellow bar fills up all the way, but you don't need the feat to be able to do it. The feat just makes you do it better.

The feat also does a few other things.

Firstly, it's an AoE bluff in a cone in front of you, and it's much faster and requires no time to use. It's also on a completely seperate timer than diplomacy and regular bluff, so you can use your regular bluff followed by an improved feint to get even more sneak attacks.

I took the feat and am loving it.

Just want to confirm your perspective, understanding that you like it so far... do you think it worth the 2 feats, esp on a Halfing build around the new SA enhancements and such?

i have it on my ftr/rog and I like it, but I also have cleave so I can bluff a crowd and SA everyone of them. Plus, as ftr I can take a hit when they re-aggro. If I were building a pure rogue, I think I'd focus on diplomacy. Two feats is tough to fit on a rogue, while, diplomacy requires no feats, is also AOE, and only needs the skill investment. I'm not sure about diplo, but with bluff/IF you only get one SA per target. Diplo may get you SA for the duration - 6sec. One adavntage of IF is the mobs don't go looking for someone else to beat up on.

ps - bluff by itself is too slow to be useful in combat.

I think it is, because I use CE almost constantly and run around with at least 50 AC just in case I get cleaved. .
