Ok to fellow stormreach resisdents.
Anyone know of a good bard who is an account?
I figure with all the ridiculous amount of plat we have to spend on repairing our weapons etc and not really making enough plat out of the UBER chests (i say that loosely lol) can we claim that plat back on our tax?
I reckon that the in game IRS should cut us a break, after all we are keeping stormreach safe from invasion and its costing us a fortune!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank god for the new binding machines!!!!
And the poor clerics and casters who must buys scrolls, wands and components, there must be a way to get a grant off the governing body for this, how would the senate be if all of a sudden Devils were sitting in their court.

Allow me:
Account: an amount of money deposited with a bank, as in a checking or savings account.
Accountant: a person whose profession is inspecting and auditing personal or commercial accounts.
..you mean the latter:D
Repair bills are the current DDO death tax, but far worse is the huge cost of raid supplies since the Shroud. Some say it doesn't have to be that way if you play it smartly, but for balance it would be nice to see those that owe their pixelated lives to the heroes cut some slack.

How about a hagglebot instead. Plenty of those builds listed in the bard forums?

I understand what generals is getting at, and it needs to be addressed...pugs running the shroud are behind the 8 ball. The name of the game is economic warfare...It started with the abbot and the mnemonic pots and heal scrolls. The situation has only deteriorated since then, the only people who can consistently beat and absorb the cost are top tier guilds.Even those guilds are feeling the pinch. There is a boatload of reasons that go into it,why it is the way it is.I personally feel this type of curve is overall bad for the game, it unduly burdens end content guilds while disenfranchising pugs and non optimal build/class.

I agree it is very expensive to run the Shroud, but to balance it I think the Devs have upped the loot table of the chests in the entire mod. Since it has been released I have pulled a Large collectable bag, portal hole, multiple paralyzers, and a couple of +6 stat items. These are things that my characters have never pulled in the past. The only urber equipment I ever pulled aside from a total of about 6 +1 tomes was Storm, Sirocco blade, and a smiter that none on my alts can use. That was in 18 months of regular play. All the rest of my equipment was purchased from the AH. I think its being balanced behind the scenes. Now I can make my uber equipment - bring it on. I also think that once the top tier guilds get use to the mechanics of the raid that information will be passed to everyone else and it will become "easy".

That's why I have yet to PUG the new raid with my Cleric. I jumped in once with friends/allies and fortunatly we didn't make it past the second part, as I'm sure my resources would have been wiped. Reading about groups that made it through and the Clerics used about 500 Heal scrolls apiece scares me. Even buying them cheap that's about half of the cash I have on my main.
As far as pulling good loot to pay for the scrolls, pots, etc, it wouldn't come close. If I pull a few of 128k gold items, that's going to get me about 70k gold or so when I sell...maybe 50 scrolls. Not many people ofer to help with the cost. I know that melee types have costs too, but I know how much cheaper it is to run my Ranger through quests vs my Cleric. With my Ranger I end up positive every time, even using wands.

Well, for the first week anyway.
Now all I get from the vale chests are studded armour and half plate even on virgin characters :(
At least I ransacked Torche twice before the nerf :)
