I have drow unlocked, but do NOT have 32 build favor yet. I am leaning towards a TWF ranger/rogue (and possibly paladin) multi-class character. I am torn on which way to go. I need advice that will not only help me from having to make yet another character down the road, but also one that is useful in end game raids, etc.
Can I get a good Dex build and a good str build (including weapons and armor)? Thank you.

I'm rather new to the game myself and am in the same boat as you, I've been messing with the planner for a bit and this was my idea for a ranger - pally - rogue combo. It doesnt include any gear or tome info, so stats are totally unmodified, hope it helps some. I designed it to be a longbow/ dual rapier setup.

I if did this correct and you put skills into DD,OL,Spot,Search and UMD as 5th choice you should be a pretty effective trapmonkey on top of the moderate dps. I started this setup yesterday and am already about to ding lvl 4 and so far its been a smooth ride. Hope it helps.

I was wondering if a drow is better than a 28 dwarf? Also, how bad is the 8 wisdom thing (for that many levels of ragner).

Well dwarf has a few real nice str builds posted around the forums, i took a drow for the extra stats elsewhere. Since im doing a mostly dps ranger the low wis for spells hopefully wont hinder me too much, ill be searching for the largest wis bonus gear I can find as I go to try to compensate some.

Here is a rough template for a guy that should give you a few ideas if you decide to go with a Dwarven version of what you are describing. It is pretty dated but it might get your wheels turning. Unfortunately, the great forum wipe got rid of a build that I thought was a pretty slick that featured a Drow Hybrid Rang/Pal/Rogue that even had combat expertise worked in if I remember correctly.

I have a dex based dwarf ranger.
they are seriously the way to go.
though str based ones rock too.

My goal is to be able to keep SEARCH, DD, OL maxed (do I need UMD?). The math makes my head hurt trying to get this right, but I don't want to keep wasting time re-rolling tunes. (What I want is a tune that is badass in group and soloing).
I was thinking a level or two rogue for the DD, OL, search. What I dont know is the other classes. I can imagine TWF with dual dwarven axes, but not if it makes more sense to do a dex build with light weapons...or am i better off doing THF? Keep in mind I have drow unlocked, but not the 32 build.
I need everything from starting stats to starting gear...I am poor and have a few items like +1 mithril full plate, etc, but nothing great, and no tomes, but I don't want to make a build that ignores the ability to add tomes later.
