Which +2 tome would you take?

My lvl 15 ranger just hit 1750 favor and I'm a bit at a loss which +2 tome to take. His current stats:

Str 27 (20 base + 1 tome + 6 bracers)
Dex 25 (15 base + 1 tome + 5 gloves + 4 enhancement)
Con 19 (13 base + 1 tome + 5 necklace)
Wis 20 (14 base + 1 tome + 5 helm)
Cha and Int are dump stats at 8

He is TWF, spec'd for longsword and slashing, uses bow occasionally, but with no bow related feats or enhancements. He currently wears +5 Mithral Chain for a pretty measly unbuffed AC of 31.

My initial planning was Str, but now I'm thinking I can just increase his Str at level 16 and put the tome into Con. Then I'll be guaranteed even Str and Con stats until level 20. Of course, as I'm writing this I also realize I can get his Wis up to 22 with a +2 tome and the dragon helm. Then again, who knows what other +6 items or tomes will come my way...

Decisions, decisions. What would you do?

Con it is way low and needs the boost the most of all your stats

disagree. Getting a +6 con item would be better for that. Go with the str tome.

Same dilemma on my strength ranger 2barb/13rgr

Chose a +2str tome then ran the reaver and got +3str tome... Grrrrr!

(Hopefully) you won't really lose out with all the +2 tomes dropping in the new quests :)

if you prefer using longswords, go for the strength tome. or you could just hold off and see what you can get from the reaver.

Go with a STR tome. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush :)
You already have a +6 STR item so the plus 2 would put you
at an even number, whereas all you need for an even CON
is a +6 item, and they are dropping far more than +2 tomes.
You could even trade any +6 item for a +6 CON item. Trading
+2 tomes since they drop less is much more difficult.

As a melee Ranger, go with a STR tome. You can upgrade to +6 item for CON and DEX to get an even number.

Not necessaryily. First you get stat increases every 4 lvls, so 4,8,12,16 and 20 for a total of +5. With a +5 tome and +6 item that leaves you with a +16 total. Now if you have 2 lvls of fighter then yes stick with an odd number since for 2 ap you can get +1 str. Also + 5 tomes maybe just a wee bit rare to get. Since we have not even seen +4s yet and we are at 16th lvl now. Granted we no one has been doing the new raid on elite.

+3 Tomes: CR 14-17 Raid Warded Chest
+4 Tomes: (projected) CR 18-21 Raid Warded Chest
+5 Tomes: (projected) CR 22-25 Raid Warded Chest

We'll jump off that bridge when we get there. Given the different stacking stat items(that +8 dex warhammer everyone is talking about springs to mind) who knows what will be available by then.

It actually looks like it might be +9... It was one of the items "demo'd" in the eldritch crafting guide that turbine posted.

It is +9. I had misread that the first time that I saw it and though the +1 and +2 exceptional bonus was only for dex skills like on some of the other equipment.
