View Full Version : MC Cleric/Paladin/Fighter

This is my multiclass build for a "Guardian" for lack of a better word. I love the 3 levels of paladin for the fact of all the immunities it grants me, the 2 fighter is for the bonus feats its grants me which is use for weapn focus and improved crit. Anyways, any feedback is nice and appreciated

You have cleric11, which is good. But cleric13 would be better.

Paladin2 is good, and paladin3 is not worthless, but all it really gives you is fear immunity. With a high will save, you're 95% immune already, and only certain high level Mummy Despairs would bother you. At high level, you should have someone give you Greater Herosim fear immunity anyway. Consider dropping paladin3 for one more level of cleric.

You have fighter2, which is bad. All that does is grant you two more feats. A better way to get more feats would be to stop wasting them on Dragonmark of Sentinel, which is completely useless. Lesser and Medium Sentinel grant you spells a cleric can already cast... Greater Sentinel is a spell wizards can cast, but never do, because it sucks.

So with those out of the way, you can drop the fighter levels to up the cleric level, giving you more spellpoints and higher level spells, especially the super-useful Destruction.

Also you are wasting skillpoints on Heal. Nobody should ever put a rank in Heal... especially not clerics. With that out of the way, you could drop intelligence, prehaps freeing up a point for more strength, which you need. The choice of Diplomacy on a character who will not pull aggro with weapon or spell damage is a curious one (but not entirely bad)

Agree about not taking the fighter levels just fit in those dragonmarks and dropping to 2 levels of Pally. If you want to keep the fighter levels I would suggest considering other feats. As you seem to be going for a "Guardian" consider lighting reflexes as your reflex save will be pretty weak, combat expertise may also be useful but it drops when you cast I believe.

Not sure about removing heal, heal also helps the HP recovery rate at shrines for all those resting near the character. On my cleric I keep concentration maxed and split between diplomacy (I mess around a bit with damage dealing) and heal. Find it saves a lot of spell points otherwise spent topping up high HP characters after shrining.
