Just ran through this the other night with a Batman build doing the traps and he blew a trap on 46 and proceeded to get a 47 on the next trap and had the trap not disable, but also not explode, which I think puts the trap DC at I believe a 49 or 50. I ran it last night and also hit a 47 total roll with my 14 ranger / 1 rogue and it didn't explode, but it also didn't open.

It looks like you need to have a 46 DD to not blow a trap on a roll of a 1.

Wow, Thats low..... and I was worried Rolling on a +54 when I did those....

yeah I was worried that I was missing trap boxes with a +65 search... my DD is about the same maybe 63.. and that was on hard that I was worried

I was also kind of surprised at the numbers and was really worried about being able to disable these traps with my Ranger. These DCs are very reasonable, and with just one or two tweaks on my ranger I can be in the low 50s range. It would be great if others posted the DCs of the other traps and locks they've encountered so far in the vale. I like being able to tweak both my ranger and rogue to be able to hit just the minimum DCs needed not to blow a trap on a 1 and to also be able to unlock a chest on a 7 or less.

I don't know what my exact search and spot numbers are off-hand (not real high since I only consider myself a back-up rogue) but so far they have been good enough for all of the new elite content.

I brought my rogue in at the end to do the traps for the chest in rainbow - this was my first toon 28pt build gimped as all heck halfling. I think with skill boost, GH some bard play my search hits 50 and my disable is right around there as well. I of course am immune to worry because for whatever reason my rogue hasn't blown a trap since level 9. Regardless I having been getting all psyched out and had a tinge of worry last night because of all the LFM fodder about these DC's, etc, etc.

End result - nothing, I spotted, searched and disabled first time on everything - he was a smooth operator and he is more viable now again then just my favor holder and bank space extrordinaire.

I take it you didnt Push the buttons for the wheel of mystery trap........

No one is questioning the Search, Sot, or Disable DC's... Its the SAVE DC.....

i worked on the puzzle part and followed leaders instructions - floor fell out on the first press,(electric trap never went off) didnt take squat for damage. My reflex was pumped up to 45. I dont know if that is what you were looking for.

The Electric traps went off on my on my rogue with a 40ish Reflex save and got pretty roasted.....

But the spikes didnt kill me either...

I wonder what the deal is withthe elextric then.. I had disable 2 boxes and still got zapped pretty good.

I have noticed on my rogue once the puzzle is completed there is a trapbox with-in the treasure room itself.... As for being a certain combanation I am not sure I have gone in 10 times.... got the chest three times and failed seven times....

Also have noticed in Rainbow not all trapboxes are static so something else to look for.
