Geonis,
I have seen your posts on the DDO forums and I am quite impressed with your knowledge. I posted on your thread for build requests a few weeks ago and haven't seen a response yet. I know that you are probably swamped helping out other players, which is commendable in itself. I was hoping that if you had the time, you could help me with a build or two. I am married with a pregnant wife and I do not have the time to play very much, let alone have to start over because of a bad build. Any assistance would save me a ton of time (and wife agro).
Here are the two characters that I would like help with:
1. My current tune is a newly unlocked 400 favor) Drow ranger 2/rogue 6. I wanted to go TWF so I picked up ranger for the free feat(s). My goal with this tune is to be a great dps/soloable rogue (with great sneak atack and rogue skills). He started with the basic "efficient" ability scores, I think 14str, 16dex, 12con, 16int, 12 wis and 10cha. Other than that, I have chosen dodge, mobility, and spring attack as my feats, but I am willing to respec. It is my understanding that if I use my free feat exchange for dodge, I get to start my tree over, since the others build upon dodge as a requirement. I will also be getting that 4th feat real soon. For some reason, I was leaning towards Combat Expertise to leave the path open for whirlwind attacking sneak attacks; but I am not sure how that will play out with agro. This was my initial idea, which I am more than willing to start over for a better build.
2. Once I use the above character to unlock the 32 build (he is only 450 favor now), I want a dwarf barbarian/rogue. I want the focus to be on the rogue skills that are NOT affected by wearing armor that are also needed in parties (DD, Listen, OL, Search, Spot, UMD) while being more of a DR and Damage dealing axe weilder. I was wondering if I can put a level or two into rogue every so many levels to max out these abilities, particularly, DD, OL and search/spot. In other words, I want a great tank that can also find traps, disable them, and open doors/chests at the highest levels. I was also looking to use axes if possible, to capture the roleplaying part of the race. TWF or THF is not as important as the DR tank element and maxed out rogue skills of Search, Spot, DD and OL (listen and UMD secondarily). If I start as a rogue to max my skill points, then do 4-5 levels as a barbarian, is it possible to take a rogue level to max out those skills? Like dump all my rogue points into a few of them?
I am sure that you are very busy, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Okay, I will be handling number 1 here today. As to the feat respec, I do not think you can swap a lower tier feat that is dependent on for another.
To DPS with a Rogue, the key is to keep the sneak attacks going. The key to that is avoiding aggro, so I don't recommend Whirlwind Attack. I went with the full TWF line, Imp Crit, Ranger Tempest enhancement, and Slippery Mind. More attacks and more crits are never a bad thing. Slippery Mind will be extremely useful for soloing, as it gives an immediate second Will save. I am unsure if you can take 2 different specialties, but if you can you could also take a Rogue enhancement.
This build would be especially potent with a pair of W/P Rapiers, but I can't really assume you will find those (I never have, though my luck with pulling +5MFP is great :D ).
Assumed loot:
+6 Dex item
+4 Str item
+6 Con item
+4 Int item
Minos Helm
+13 Disable Device item
+13 Search
+13 Spot
+13 Open Lock
Various Robes - As far as Dragon robes, it's kind of a toss-up. White nets 1 more point of AC and consolidates a couple items, but Black consolidates several items and gives a bonus to ranged attack speed. I lean towards Black.
Treason would be ideal for the reduction in melee hate, but I don't like including Raid loot.

Keep Stoneskin up via scroll to keep the damage down a bit. You can scroll any level 4 scrolls on a 2 or better. You should have the skills for most quests, Elite might be a little too much (I am not real up on Rogue skill needs). I think this character should serve your needs as you continue.
