So I've had the non-Razer version of this for over a year now and I love it.. can't imagine gaming without it. I thought I would share this little gem with you.

Has a loadout manager that can be used for a variety of games and programs.. I have 10 currently, for everything from Photoshop, DDO, and IRC Macros.
The new version pictured below has a joystick instead of a + pad on the older one.
15 programmable keypad action buttons are built for complete customization and speed
Custom designed to fit comfortably in your hand (fits like a glove)
Backlit keypad and scroll wheel for total control in dark conditions
Here's a couple of pictures of the new one - Just released and backed by Razer, also a pic of the loadout configuration software.

Guess everyone must be preoccupied with the new content, hoping some people can appreciate this - prob a couple of weeks down the road. ;)

I was thinking of picking up a Nostromo, but I don't know about the new one yet. Is it wired, or wireless? The pictures that i've seen (haven't seen one in person yet) don't make it clear if it's wired or wireless. I know the older nostromos were decent, and i think they're just about what I want to use. I tried using a console-style controller, but it doesn't work well with my twitch-style of playing (mouselook, etc.). Just not enough flexibility. I think one of these would be good, though. I know that I saw the older nostromo for as low as $16, so I may go ahead and pick one up. If not, I'd look at the new one, as long as it's not wireless.

It is not wireless - From what I've read they've made improvements to the button just above the + Pad (Now the Joystick). In the previous version it's had a problem being easily depressed, and or getting stuck.

If you want to read more, and see the official specifications you can read up on it here: http://www.n52te.com/

I guess the n52te is still in the 'released soon' category? I just went out and picked up an n52 - I have to say, quite happy with it. I have a few niggling quibbles with it, but for the most part, it's awesome. if they reworked the gamepad/thumb button on the n52te, I'd say it'd be a hands-down winner. the n52 is so comfortable for me to use, my muscle memory thinks it's a keyboard (and i need to adjust my loadout accordingly ;) - truly one can customize it to do just about anything.

Aside from the firmware updater not working under vista it appears to work. now I need to learn to make a profile for it.
Anyone have one I can look at and use as a base?
