I guess damage overlaped? Like the numbers fitting well at the right time? (Just send me a PM to tell me if I'm right/wrong and how it happenned if I'm wrong.)

Btw, why weren't you guys FtS'ing these?

756 damage and only 1/4 of its health? Wow they have lots of hit points... and no elemental or other damage done?

To prove people wrong show your combat log as well.

And I'd be very interested in knowing how you did it - why put it in a PM? I've only seen crits for around 110-120 (with a bloodstone)

No need to stone them when they can't get past the wall of blockers. As long as nobody attacks them they won't attack anyone.

As for the bow damage, show us the numbers and maybe we'll believe you

Only one reason not to show the Combat log and only PM the way to do it...

He actually DID do 756 points of damage and its obviously an Exploit.

I dont believe those mino's have 3000 Hit Points though so the chance that that amout of damage was done is pretty low.

ALso using a Acid Bow so there SHould be Elemental Damage inthere...

How do you have an acid longbow equipped and not get a typed damage modifier? i.e. 34+6??

CR20 mino critted for that much in one shot and still having 3/4 of his hp left.... I don't know about how many hp those guys have on Madstone elite, but is it 1900+?

Im guessing there are two of them there and maybe precise shot hit the first for 7 and the second for 56 but they are close to one another so it looks like one number??

Its a mystery. Call scooby doo and the gang.:D

The 6 at the end is probably a +6, but the "+" not showing up.

the minos have an average of abt 700-1000 hp on elite. this is what i observed when they take 3 tick of my blade barrier (each tick ~ 280). so clearly, it isnt an exploit. i've also seen my rgr do 3000+ points of damage. basicall use multishot and in a confined space, the numbers sometimes get crammed up. usually its messy thou, not as clear as this

No many shot activated. look at buff list and cooldown for manyshot.

u dun need to have multi on.... there is a bug with ranging, sometimes you shoot n no damage is dealt. this happens when u are shooting so fast the server lags and a group of your arrows bunch up. this is an acknowledged bug

You don't have to have many shot to damage 2 mobs at once, you just have to have Precision, either via the feat or the weapon, and you will generate "pass-through" damage if any mobs are between you and the targeted mob. I was saying that you maybe generated a damage number from one in front that visually overlapped with the target... like maybe 75 on the first one and 56 on the second, but visually overlapping made it look like 756 (with a shared 5).

Yes, brshelton is right. The acid damage and base damage from the Tortured Livewood Bow overlap on your screen. Sorry to burst your bubble but you did not do 756 damage with the bow, you must be pretty insane to believe that.... You either did 75 or 56, my bet is 56 with 7 points of acid damage.

One way to see this for yourself is find something with DR to pierce. Part of the number will be yellow the other part will be green. Or just check your combat log, but i'm a little surprised you haven't done that yet.

This is your answer, he is using the Livewood Bow, the first two numbers are the damage of the bow, and the 6 is the damage of the acid on first strike. I see it all the time, kind of threw me for a loop when I first saw it too.

But kudos for being so quick to get a screenie.

If I'm not mistaken, he's using the tortured longbow.
Due to it applying acid arrow damage instead of using it as additional damage, it causes the acid arrow damage to show as another number beside the arrow damage instead of as a +damage display.
The damage actually done is 75 from the crit, plus 6 acid arrow damage.
The bow can make your damage numbers look quite impressive, if not the damage itself.

Edit:serves me right for getting distracted while writing my post. My answer is far behind the times

Heh no mob behidn him. if youve ran madstone you know the first seer only has four minos on him.

You have ruined the point of thsi thread. I knew that it wasnt really 756 damage lol. It was a joke so new people would have something talk about.

You should be ashamed. I should of asked you not to reeveal it at the beginning. my mistake.

This is just a graffic error on anyone using Tortured Livewood Bow. I know, happens all the time when I use mine. You are really only doing normal damage when this pops up like that. They need to fix it as its annoying as heck.

Sneak attacks used to show up like that too, i've some old SS that show like 1140 damage or higher.

He's using the Tortured Livewood bow, it does Acid Arrow damage on hit and for a few ticks after (only most recent continues to do damage), and the Acid Arrow for some reason pops at the front, so every hit looks like this.
