multiclass paladin

I am confused by the PnP paladin and the DDO paladin. I was under the impression that once I took paladin levels I could not take any other class levels. If it did multiclass, then I could no longer take paladin levels. Is this just PnP?

PnP, this is true.

DDO allows up to 3 Classes, with no restrictions other than Alignment-requirements (ie no Lawful Barbarians or Bards, and Paladins must be Lawful Good)

So you can take Paladin, then Rogue, then Fighter, then back to Paladin, etc.
