Hi, I'm rather new to the game. I have a rogue/bard, but I'm not having too much fun playing the bard. I thought it would be fun because of the music buffs and the like, but I'm just not having fun with it. I would like to try to do a pure rogue. Is there a way I can get rid of the bard? Or should I just ignore it?

Thanks guys.

Once you take a class you cannot remove that class. The best advice I can give is to re-roll as a pure rogue or just roll a new pure rogue.

Since I am fairly new, I have no idea how to go about re-rolling, could you perhaps explain this to me?

Thanks.

Re-rolling would be deleting said character and starting over. It's considered re-rolling because generally you would keep the same name thus in essence starting the same character over. I do it all the time, I'm an altaholic.

Oh ok, I think I will, I'm only level 2 so it won't be that bad.

On your log in screen it gives you the option to Delete/Create Characters.
Figure out what character you want to be... Say... a rogue.

If you want to Keep the Name of your character, click the Delete button.
it will ask you to re-enter the first name of that character to confirm that you want to delete it.

Note: YOU WILL LOSE ALL OF THE STUFF THAT CHARACTER HAS ON THEM!!!

So you may want to make an extra character if you want to keep your stuff.

This is not a big problem till your character gets up in levels asy 4th - 5th and up.
or till you get 2 -3 characters and like some, start trading better gear back and forth.

( I admit I have done this) so, some of my lower character have some expensive gear. :o

Go to the Character screen/ click Create Button.

Just like your first.

Then create you character just llike you did your first.
it's not a big deal. Give that character your old name.

If you are quick enough you may even keep your friend list.
My brother in law once re-rolled a character so fast he stayed in his guild!!!

If you are unsure of what you want to do a Search
on the forums for build advice.

If you are looking to Multi class a rogue; the general consensus
seems to be to take 2 levels of ranger
and a level or two of fighter.

Try a few trial builds and see what you like and don't like.
And go from there.

Bards seem to be best as a pure class.
as they have limited spells from the start, and when you start
dropping levels to another class it can really hurt their casting ability.

As I said
There is allot of build advice on the forums.

And if you do a search, a regular poster named Ron
has an excellent Character generator that can really help.

Kobald Killer,
Do you remember what thread that was?

I am not that great and adding quotes and thread tags yet.

If its your first character, No Need to "Re-roll" Just start another character.

2 Levels is not nearly enough time toget a feel for a class or character int his game.. Especially Bard since the majority of your 1st level quests are Undead, Iron Defenders and Slimes....

I found that character generator. The web site is http://www.rjcyberware.com/DDO/ I took a look and this is fantastic. Ron did a fantastic job on this. As a newbie to DDO too, I have been having difficulty planning out my character and this is super. Grats Ron. Wonderful job.
