sounds to me like he decided he wanted more than what you gave him which is his right as no deals final till both parties click accept but whether its honorable/ethical is another question. would i follow through on the trade if i found out i was getting screwed outta a w/p rapier? probably not. if i was getting screwed outta a paralyzer? probably. but with the best weapon in the game he deserves every penny he can get for it. OP pit em against each other make em bleed for this. the only item on your wants list after this trade should be a w/p rapier.

I accepted this deal in a reply to his PM within an hour at most of his offer on Saturday. He now is backing out of HIS proposed deal. In an MMO world where there are no set rules, all we are left with is our character and our word. What a man of his word!

I am not upset. I'm perfectly happy to continue to field offers for my item. If you guys feel it's OK to back out of an accepted, agreed upon deal that HE proposed, then to each his own. There are some here perhaps that may not feel that way and I want them to know of his past dealings. That is all.

Can't believe I'm responding to this drivel. So what if he offered you the rapier, and then retracted the offer.Even assuming that is true, did you forego another w/p rapier swap? What was your loss? I don't use rapiers, but did you really expect this trade to go through. It would have been a rip-off on your part, those two items are not close in value. Assuming it's true, he backed out of getting screwed. Understand that this is a once in a year pull for someone, let him get the best out of it. If you are so inclined toward character and someone being "true to his word" then take the high road, and don't respond anymore. What are the odds of that?
