ok, since my guild is a flagged up and finished with the pre-raid, I am looking for tips in the actual Raid

Am I correct in saying there are named creatures on top of pillars? if so, what measures should we use to defeat them....cloudkill(but are they immune?), solid fog to slow them, acid fog?

does her difficulty or CR increase in this raid or is the only difference the extra creatures with her?

Firewall the archers on the pillars. Firewall the middle. Have casters line up opposite each other and scorching ray her to ping pong / hold her until about 15% and then CoC her to death. Tanks take care of efreeti aggro. Everyone keep an eye out for blades. Mass heals are your friend. It is better to let a blade go through you once and only take dmg once than to run and take damage multiple times. If she gets in your face - Move.

ignore the archers as long as you dont step in the middle they wont bother you
Keep the entire party on one column and just spam mass heal
firewall her and scorching ray her until 15% then cone of cold

we did this in 6 minutes no deaths with our only healer a battlecleric(with evasion!) but the key was our 7 sorcs and 2 wizzys just straight up beating her face in

I've seen it done both of the ways discussed above. The shield wall in front of the blasting casters works well on the normal setting, and is quick. On Elite Ms. Queen stomps right through a shield wall and slaughters the blasters pretty easily though. The ping-pong method (two groups setup with two columns between them) firing at the Ms. Queen from seems to work well on all difficultly settings. And if you don't have a lot of healers available for when the blades come out, group up on one column until she re-appears and then go back to spaced groups.

9 casters :)

Seriously you can do it with 2 casters using either method. Don't feel as though you need 9 to get it done or a 6 minute run. I think we did a 3-4 minute run on elite saturday with myself and 2 other guild casters. (one of whom is a pal/rog/sorc)

ya the pally rogue sorcs rock that quest as they take neglible damage while dealing massive amounts in one attempt we had wiped released healed up and gotten back to the quest and our pally rogue sorc was still in there kicking her butt
i was just saying we did it through sheer brute force which is one tactic
i find the ping ponging works about 30% of the time and the other 70% she just messes you all up

Remember that dispell and greater dispell can remove the blade barriers as they come accross if you have extra mana. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

QFT, but I might add that a good ranger is worth her weight in gold on this quest and can hit her while she is in one of the side caves. Manyshot + Silver Longbow or Holy of Pure Good Bow will knock the snot out of her.

GREAT INFO.....we will have at least 2 rangers and two casters... a fairly balanced party....

does cone of cold do double damage to her? in the pre-raid i used scorching ray, wof, and disentagrate...just curious

Nope, she has some minor resistance to acid/fire/ice, immune to electricity, and has no energy vulnerabilities. However, towards the end she will put of a mantle of invulnerability that make her immune to any spell that is 4th or lower and Cone of Cold is the staple spell that is used on her at that point (being 5th level). Spells like Acid Fog, Disintegration, and Delayed Fireball Blast will hit her as well (but most people want her taken down as quick as possible so Cone of Cold and Delayed Fireball Blast are the common choices).

fire is best but once she hits about 15% shes immune to fire and switch to cold or force or the handy dandy ranger o ya the other spots in our party were all bow specced rangers lol was the perfect party 9 casters 2 bowman and a cleric with evasion err maybe it was 8 casters cuz we had 3 archers

went well, we huddled on a pillar and group tight for mass heals, firewalled the archers, tanks took out the efereeti's
and we firewalled her and disintagrated her, pulled 3 named items - storm, staff of power, and i got the jerky. funny thing is I was playing my wizard who has been eyeing the staff of power, well..my cleric buddy pulls the staff and i pull the jerky, so i say "hey ill trade ya, and then i see it disappear off the list...he already picked it up without looking......dolt....we all laughed...so i had others roll for the jerky and we had a great time
a special thanks to....and i hope i dot butcher his name, kingfather highpriest of the paperdolls for helping us out and explaining everything

She's not immune to fire, she's immune to L4 spells and below. You can still hurt her with delayed blast fireballs.
