Ladies' Raids Redux

Hello all, especially the wild and crazy ladies of Thelanis. After a long hiatus (Mod 5, holidays etc.) I thought it might be time to try another of our girl bonding raid nights. Hope to see you there!


WHO: Ladies' ONLY raid Night for high level characters 11-14
WHAT: 1-2 consecutive Stormreaver raids
WHEN: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 8:00 P.M. Central till ?

Details/Pre-requisites

-Characters must have completed the Gianthold pre-quests and the Gianthold Tor w/3 dragons to participate in the Stormreaver raid. If you have trouble finding a group to help please put up an LFM asking for "girls help" or "girls raid prep" or something and I'm sure you will get some of us to pop in and help out. Or feel free to send a /tell to any of my characters in game. Names are in my signature.

Questions:

1) I'm a dude and I think it'd be so hilarious to sneak into the girls' raid. How are you gonna know I'm not a chick!!
Answer: Umm... We're women. We can read your mind, and we also have laser beam eyeballs that can fry your... um... pupils. Yeah.... pupils. You must be vouched for (meaning one of the raid organizers knows you, or has grouped with you before, and can testify that you are female) or have active Voice chat to prove it if we don't. (Judo's totally awesome girl voice aside, we can tell :p)

2) How do you handle loot drops?
Answer: Pudding wrestling, obviously.

No.... seriously, your loot is your loot. If it drops, and it has your name on it, it's yours. If something drops for you, and you don't need it, you can do with it WHATEVER YOU WANT. Offer it for a roll, talk dirty to it, give it to someone randomly, trade for it, feed it to your pet goat Simeon, YOUR LOOT IS YOUR LOOT. If you're not going to be ok with that, it's probably best you sit this one out.

3) How will I know when I'll be invited to the raid?
Answer: About 20-15 minutes before the start of the raid, I will put up an LFM and start contacting people who have told me in advance they wanted to come. If you don't see either of those things before 8 p.m. central, send a /tell to the character I'll be on (Most likely Erda or Tatotot) or check the IFV names listed on the "WHO". My characters are all in my signature.


Please send me a PM or just add your name to the thread if you are interested in joining, with the character name/class information. I figured a week is probably enough notice. Sorry, Judo and Jammy. You know you go with us in spirit :D

Biggest problem with this scenerio - he played ddo - didn't like it - thinks everyone who plays it is a lost cause - currently plays wow and thinks best mmo is COH - the truth won't work here :(

Just wanted to remind you that I will be putting up an LFM at about 8 PM for the All-Ladies raid (Reaver). I will be scanning the forum for names of people but if you see the LFM up be sure to respond because I will just invite the first 11 girls to roll my way! :) Who knows if there is enough response tonight there might be enough for 2 groups? Remember if you are new to the group or unvouched for you've gotta have voice chat! ;)

I have been ill this week so I'm going to play it by ear. I will probably not be online much before start time, I will be most likely forming the group with Erda or Tatotot if you see me online and have a ??.

It was a really good group.... I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks everyone for joining last night. I think the consensus was that once a month wouldn't be too much at all for our grouping. It's definitely a nice change of pace.

Just to clarify... I still am amazed when I get /tells like this after they read the LFM.... These groups are for WOMEN only. women IN REAL LIFE... Yes... real, living, breathing, flesh and blood WOMEN not female 'toons' :D Dudes who play girl characters because they like to watch the female elves' bums shake when they run do not count as a "girl" for the purposes of an "all girl raid!!!" ROFL!


Since I didn't catch one of the "flex" pics, here is one I got when we were standing around and Trissa started going all Amazon Warrior Woman with her cloudburst... LOL!

I think Karisu said that. I was watching the raid over her shoulder, and she mentioned the snickers that comment received. Overall, everyone did a good job from what I could see through the dancing balls and such. And yes, I was making my own comments about it as well. I think she relayed some of them to you :p

OMG... I was just re-reading some of the previous posts and laughing out loud when I remembered the "ride the pole" thing. Too much fun.

Trissa, I bet your T.S. groups are a blast. I'll have to watch and see when you are doing one and join you sometime if you've got a spot. I can imagine you are a great leader.

Thanks again ladies.... This is something that is special, and I appreciate the change of pace from usually grouping (though I love them all) with our men friends.
