View Full Version : Anyone play Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for PlayStation 3? I have some questions..

I know this isn't about DDO, but there are a lot of people here that I can ask :)

My questions are about online play.

For the PS3 version can you host servers and stuff? Can you create your own server and run it, ban people from the server that are cheating, etc?

I ask because the other CoD games I play are on computer. So I don't know if the online play is run the same. If anyone has any input that would be great because I'm getting a PS3 soon and getting Call of Duty. Me and a friend already have a clan started and everything.

More questions about it will come when I find someone on here that plays it :p

just curious, how would people be capable of using aim bots and that sort of stuff on the ps3 version?

It has a hard drive......accepts blue-tooth....and plug ins.


You can do it on a psp...which has similiar programming..........not only can you do it on a PS3.....its been done.

1) On the PS3, COD(piece)4 has the capability of LAN (local area network) gameplay. Meaning you can get all your buddies in your 'hood to play provided you link-up.
2) You cannot use aim-bot on the PS3 because the script kiddies have yet to crack the code for it.
3) COD4 uses Punkbuster technology to combat the punks who cheat. If you play online via the computer instead of the console, I suggest getting a fine set of CVAR's for your server.

A certain person on these forums wrote the scripts to combat the cheaters in COD4, this is how I know. Knowing is half the battle. The other half is extreme violence.
