ok, with the mentioning of the barbarian critical tier 2 being available at level 14 barbarian i had respec'd the primitive Sniper according to, while only sacrificing barbarian toughness, yes it may lower my hp by quite a bit, but im able to get the extra critical with the level cap being increased, so here is "the primitive sniper" in another style.

still you can do all of the math yourself with the adding of tomes & items, i don't feel like posting it all again lol, you can see the original roll of "The primitive Sniper" for the items i listed to be ideal for them, and for me personally they are all easily obtainable as all of my friends or people i run with have the raid gear i had listed and i have all of the non raid gear i listed and full set of trade-able +2 tomes..so i know my advantage might be a little different to everyone else's but i built it so you'd think i would build a toon around what i have hmm?

No fancy names , but i am making basically the same concept.

Initial plans are 2 ranger/ 14 barbarian , ending plans between 14 barb/2ranger/4fighter or 14 barb/6 ranger (deepwood sniper).
Started with 18str/16dex/14con. Going strength all the way , so as not to lower melee ability or bow damage at all.
After seeing how many clickable boosts(all 5 human veratility, manyshot, rage,DR boost, and ranger sprint boost, uncanny dodge) i have and use, considered calling it my Clickbarian.

i also took another look at the build and realized you can also take a second level of ranger rather then fighter (before 5th..as u need rapid fire for future feats) and still get all the same things, but i like the critical accuracy and fighters haste boost :D as i like to fire/swing just a wee bit faster.

i took 2 ranger with my 12 barb and not only do you get many shot and bow str (str. bonus to bow damage) i get use of all kinds of wands (namely cure serious) and fav enemy. i like the 2 fighter option for heavy armour and free feat of your choice. if you're going to multiclass your barb, make sure you know what you are doing right up to end game content as of now. you will miss out on crit rage 2 which is very valuable but not the be all end all. just make sure whatever it is you swap out for crit rage 2, is worth losing an extra point of range on your weaps.
my dual weilding barb ranger kicks ass but it took 3 builds and a million runs thru the character gen to get it right.

i'd go 2 fighter or 2 ranger if I were you instead of one each.

i wont miss out on barb rage crit 2, level cap is being raised in January, which leaves me at 14h barb and 2 ranger or else 1 fighter 1 ranger, and i would still get my barb, and i know about the wand usage but that only requires 1st level as ranger to use all of the wands, you gain no more as 2nd level then 1st level and i still get my 1 favored enemy at 1st level ranger.

yes i know this, as i have posted it in either this thread or else in the ranger or general section, dont remember where i put what, but yes i did mention it, but if i wanted to use twf, i would of taken weapon finesse rather then power attack hmm?

how do u figure? if i was going to use the twf seeing how i have high enough dex i would of swapped out power attack with weapon finesse, it would just be a little more useful, and i would probably put a little less into strength and into dex, but i like 2handers my self so i prefer power attack and the way he is set up now,

MondoGrunday

just because you have a high dex doesn't mean u need to take weapon finesse. i have twf and have a dual weilding barb and i don't carry finesse. I use rapiers and dwarven axes hmmm

yes well, seeing how i dont have max str nor dex i figure the +2 tohit would help with my attack even though i should not have any problems as it is, but if i was twf i would rather wep fin, then power attack b/c what use would power attack be then? i would be duel wielding and the double damage with 2 handers (which is why ppl take power attack) would be more or less useless and only make my tohit lower.

err also i have a question for anyone, power attack says it deals extra damage when activated but double damage with two handed weapons, well...a bow is a 2 handed weapon is it not? if you have a bow inhand you can not wield anything else in either hand, so my question
*does power attack deal double damage with a bow inhand since it is technically a 2handed weapon?

Power attack adds +5 to base damage and +10 if you are using twohanded weapons. It shouldnt work with bows but not sure on that one :). Could be.

bows are two handed......;) If PA and crit rage both worked on a deepwood sniper, ranged combat could be fun again, especially if you have a bloodstone handy. Yes i know this combo would have to wait until a much higher level cap.
