Tanking question

Hello all,

I quit ddo about 4 months after initial launch and I am back. I am wondering though which race/class is now the better tank?

I wouldnt mind doing some dd but I am going to have to be the main tank.

Personally, play whatever race you want. I am playing a *gasp* Human fighter right now without min/maxing and having a great time.

If you can't survive without min/maxing, make a dwarf fighter/paladin mix. however, I'd advocate playing what you want, not what everyone else is playing :)

I still enjoy playing my original 28-pt human fighter :) (although my new WF fighter/pally tank (http://www.housetharashk.com/forums/showpost.php?p=28706&postcount=2) is shaping up to be very fun at lvl7)

It depends what you mean as tank. If you mean defensive style juggernaught then Borro's suggestion are good ones, but if you mean dps which is the current king of the game then look to a barbarian. If you want variablity then fighter or ranger. Pallys are hurting right now, but they are still intriguing and might make a comback. In summary dwarven barbarians rule the roost right now (wf barbarian would if an arcane knew how to heal)...

This thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=127045) seems to be saying that the majority of clerics out there really don't care about the healee's race. And anyway, once a cleric gets Heal, the anti-WF racism has no basis.

:) no warforged racism here just that a group of arcanes and a warforged barbarian might be the best group.. anyway warforged do rock and can be healed by a cleric...

that was a tongue-in-cheek response :) i've not had any issues with anyone healing my pair of WF chars.
