Feat Exchange PROBLEM

Ok guys here it goes...

I had started a new wf barb/rouge. I took the Adamantine Body feat not thinking that evasion does not work with heavy armor.



Anyway to the point here.... Since I figured out that it does not work with evasion. I was like well no big deal I will just run on down to Fred to get it changed. When I get there I have the CORRECT dragon shard I put Adamantine Body into the exchange slot to get it changed and my whole client locks up and crashes. So I am like hmm so I try it again still crashes so I am like let’s go get the free feat exchange for the dragon marks still same thing. Then I contact a gm (RECROS) he tells me to contact technical support so I did (JOHN) well he told me to uninstall the game I was just like that is not going to fix the problem so I waited another couple of days tried feat exchange again still crashed. So I contact another gm got (RECROS) again and he told me the same thing to contact technical support so I did (SAM) He told me to uninstall the game again so I was like ok what the H***. So I waited 12-15 hours for it to download AGAIN, went to try the feat exchange still crashes so I contact gm's again. Once again they tell me to contact technical support so I do when I tell them I have uninstalled and reinstalled they want to do know what version my directx and what king of operating system and all the jazz. Then he tells me that I need to contact the SENIOR technical support guy through email. I sent the email Monday and as of today I have still have not gotten an answer back on my email!!! I have attempted this on 2 computer of my own with 2 different operating systems and different builds. I even gave my password to a friend who has a computer with a totally different build and also his crashes as well so this ISSUE is not an installation problem.

Has anyone else had this problem before if so what had to be done or do you have any thoughts on how I can fix this problem because, it appears I am on my own.



I could have rerolled but I have eaten 3 tomes and do not want to reroll because of a bug in the game server!!!



I also had my friend (the one I gave my password to) to create a char with identical build and he could change the Adamantine Body to Mithral Body.



I am at the end of my rope with trying to figure this problem out, is there anyone out there that can assist? It would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard of it before, but it sounds to me like it's an error that's attached to your character, somehow. As long as the tomes were only +1, I'd say just re-roll. Yeah it kinda sucks, but if you ever want to play that character, just bite the bullet now. Also, are you SURE evasion doesn't work with Adamantine body? Because I know for a while Adamantine/Mithril Body wasn't really counted as armor.

First thing to do: submit a bug report (make sure you give your correct character name, race, levels, server, etc. to help them locate the bug).
Second thing to do: ask around and look into the WDA posts. This one should make you happy:
Multi-class paladins and barbarians will now always be able to respec their feats without crashing their client.
So you can actually skip the first step, but more bug reports can't hurt ;)

Well like i said i would just reroll but i'm not very uber and can not affored to lose 3 tomes. :(

Apparently they ARE fixing it, just not until mod 6, whenever that is.

preface: I have not played DDO WF much

...but in PnP you have to take your 'body' feats at first level at character creation (basically they are building you with that feat), and you are not allowed to change that feat. Maybe they dont have that fixed, and so when you are trying to do it, it crashes you out instead of saying no.

Wrong answer ;) They decided to allow respec of body feat. The crash only happens on some specific multiclassed characters.
