I need help...Twinking...lol

my build..

I have a leve 5 fighter. 28 point.

His current stats follow:

Human, Male, Chaotic Good
STR 18
DEX 10
CON 16
INT 14
WIS 08
CHA 08

I need to be able to find a new self healing tactic. One that wont totally kill the unuber build
So I am asking the kind people (and the mean ones)((lol))
What I should do.
Healing pots will only go so far.
If I take a level of ranger will I still be able to use wands? I do not expect any spell points with this build...He is not so balanced.
<sigh>
I am pretty sure cleric would be out of the question. As well as bard, paladin.
so...Should I Ranger up next level?
Edit: BTW, this is a necro'd build. one that has floated around a long time ago and put in storage...

One level of ranger will allow you to use a wand for every spell on the ranger list. This means up to cure serious and includes neutralize poison and a few other useful ones. You would also gain bow str and a favored enemy.

You could also splash a level of paladin for wand use. You would get the same healing wands and be able to use lesser restore wands. You would have a basic aura.

You will lose one fighter feat ( and 2 hp for a ranger level). Neither will lose a point of BaB.

I'd say go paladin, as indicated above. Seems to be the best fit, and will allow you to use resist energy wands, cure wands, etc.
