Sorry I maybe ignorant but I use this one regularly and it has been around for a long time. (why isn't it in the list..??)Because he didn't submit it to the contest. And it's not really his. He took on the project from TheCataclysm, who took it on from someone else.

This guide, above all others, remains the most comprehensive yet simple design. This gut knows what he's talking about. And like I said in the initial round of voting, this guide can be applied to ANY class that uses a weapon or a skill. Pretty universal in my book.

I vote for notes from a dancing rogue.
However, I believe that at least a couple of the "guides" are nothing but lists (that anyone can do), and are written by founders. I ask if that is fair...

There's nothing wrong with being a founder. :p It just shows when you started DDO -- ya really can't prohibit someone from entering for paying longer than someone who joined later
Lists, meh. They aren't exactly "guides," but they are utilities. Lost's "List" actually has a lot of quest-tips for the quests he listed ie "mini-guides."
My guide was a list with tips as well, but for the purpose of fastest-levelling ie a "guide on how to level very quickly."
A lot of votes have been from in-house guildmates though on all guides -- kind of obvious. And quite a few others have been by friends. I'm going to admit three of my votes are always from within my guild (Castar, Cadwell, and myself). Everyone else, thanks for looking and voting! ^_^

Actually in reality all it really shows is when you joined the forums:p I joined in headstart but didnt bother to visit the forums till much later, hence no founder..... (But I do have a nifty Helm and necklace to show for it I guess:))

I would of loved to have submitted this guide, but as their rules said, it had to be an original work. Plus I didn't feel right to submit something that I didn't start.

Agreed! I started playing DDO one Week after headstart.
I never even considered looking at the forums until some time later.
I am, Rameses!

That's just another stipulation. If it says "founder," then you *did* start playing DDO then (or you for some reason like to register for a game and not play it).
Not all founders have that helm, however.... Just the amulet (and boots for what, the collector's edition?)

I'm surprised Dorim's Map Shop isn't there... That's what I would have voted for.

I only see 299 votes at this point. 299 out of how many players? Either only 300 people play this game.... (Are you telling me DDO runs off of less than 10 grand a month income?!?!?) or most players are not paying attention to this contest or voting at all.
I really think its a good idea overall, but the result is that most players dont care or participate.
I hope the Dev team goes back to the drawing board to figure out what players really want and need out of events and contests. Honestly I thought this was a great idea and would bring in participants. LIttle shocked so few care. But to be fair I kinda found it a waste of time, the best user guides on the forums aren't even in this contest, although there are 3 or 4 up there I think will become regular staples, although they arent getting voted for.....

Well, not everyone that plays visit the forums. And not every that visits the forums goes to the announcements section.

The day you did decide to look at the forums was a dark day for the forums indeed.

Oh, I don't know. Many's the time I've looked to the forums for a 'what the heck are we doing wrong?!?' hint or three. Quest guides have mass appeal, and the one's here are the best I've seen.
