/Gets up on the stage and blushes!

Oh I didn't expect this! I'm a little flustered I must say!
/pulls out a long piece of paper.

First, I'd like to thank all the little people I stepped on in my climb to the top, I couldn't have made it without all your backs, i wish I had taken notes on names...but you know who you are. And in the end, it's the thought that matters!

I'd like to thank all the Gods of Eberron, because you never know when one might be watching and feel left out. I hear gods can be a vengful bunch of dieties!

I'd like to thank my parents, but I'm not sure where they are these days, or if they are still alive, since they both lead an exciting life of married adventures. If you aren't in the belly of a Purple Worm, have a drink on me!

Lastly, I'd like to thank my adoring fans, you love me, you really love me!

/trips on his way down, and bloodies his nose.

This contest was rigged!

Everyone knows Dane already works for Turbine. Clearly they'd give him a "free 30 days" since they already pay for his subscription!!!1!

(Congrats.)

Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master

Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream

It currrently has over 850 entries and the actions taken on it could help determine if DDO is still around in a year, or at least a great many current players.

No trolling, not knocking Dane, just questioning what makes something "A Thread of the Week"

Is it that it helps the game and players?

Is it that it brings on the "Everything is rosey in DDO Land effect?

Is it that it addresses an issue of great concern to the player base?

Is it that it addresses an issue DDO wants addressed and brought to the attention of the forum readers without have a Dev or Public Relations person bringing it out?

What is the determining factors for becoming a thread of the week?

Generally, TotW involves significant effort from the OP to make the boards a better place, either through something fun, new and unique or through valid, strong and constructive feedback.

I honestly wasn't even thinking of the ToTW, when I did that. It's an idea I've had for a while, but never acted on it, because no images were allowed on the forums. Now that they have allowed that, I thought, what a good time!

I want to do more like that, focusing on different aspects of Stormreach and such.

It was a great idea for a thread.

Congrats, Dane!

FIX! It's a fix! Dane works for Turbine, we all know this! ;)

(Yes, I have briefly come out of forum retirement to bust on Dane. Going back to lurk-only mode now)

Totally justified.
