Just want to know if everyone likes the new raid loot system, at first it seemed like it was ok but recently no loot has been dropping. BTW I do run with a 12 person grp to maximise the chance for loot.

ive only been in 1 raid that had less than 2 items for end rewards and most have been at least 4, the hard part is getting people to part with the stuff i want.

You lucky Akla.....every raid since the MOD changes has seen AT MOST 2 items drop, sometimes one....and Ive done mebbe eight, nine raids so far...just like loot tho, s'all random.

The last 2 dragon raids dropped the Kun. del. gog.....that is it, and not one person even wanted them....BTW 1 set of goggles per raid and 2 raids had nothing at all as far as raid loot. I have had better loot doing tap. runs in the orchard, and you dont have to spend 2 hrs running the vons to get in the orchard. IMO the efforts to make raids a 8 - 12 player quest again has back fire, If it wasnt for the fact that von 5 and 6 are my favorite raid quest I dont think that I would raid at all.

Meh, two raids. 2 items dropped per raid. Full 12 parties.

Having the chance for more than 2 items per raid is nice but it would be a big letdown when 1 or none drop.

I know the raid's aren't all about the loot but how hard would it be to code:

Raid on normal, 10-12 party = 2 items drop
Raid on hard, 10-12 party = 3 items drop
Raid on elite, 10-12 party = 4 items drop

?

Law of diminishing returns on party size:
1 peice for 6 or less on normal, 7-10 1.5 peices
1.5 peices for 6 or less on hard, 7-10 2 peices
2 for 6 or less on leet, 7-10 3 peices

Gives some flexibility for party sizes and difficulty levels. Also no dissappointment at the end cause you are guaranteed those drops.

Meh....

Sometimes we get good drops ..up to five including +3 tomes, sometimes not so much... Abbot in 3 wins = 1 item, 0 items, 2 items, and the night we got 0 raid drops we also ran SR elite for 0 drops... it ebbs and it flows.

That is my point a raid with no raid loot???

I do agree with the fact that raids should be raid grps 8 - 12 player that work together but for not one person to get an item is just beyond me. Do the math for the raids that you put in the quote. 4 raids total 3 items assume there is a party of 12.
3 raid items over 48 chances(12 ppl * 4 raids) that is a 6.25% chance to get raid loot.
(old way) 2 raid items over 12 ppl that is a 16.6% chance to get raid loot.
total is 10% less chance to get raid loot now....and that wasnt even counting the fact that you did an elite run which should have increased the chance for loot.

I am not disagreeing but what about the times when in 12 person raids we have had 5 good items drop? I have had bad weeks and good weeks, One week on every raid (3 or 4) we had 4 or 5 items drop each time. We were really happy about this however we said, that we had to remember this when we got nothing because those days will suck:)

I like it that we always want to raid with full groups, because that is the team aspect of DDO, shortmanning raids though loot rich lack the comraderie that I play this game for.

I agree about the full raid group, it gives the guild a chance to play with everyone and BTW I have never seen more than 2 items drop at 1 time. I have done about 10 raids and less than 20 items dropped, but I am waiting to see the list after I complete 20 with 1 character.

I love the mechanics of the new raid (ie - items dropping for a person, not the guy with the star)

Drop rate hasn't been bad. I think I'm seeing the average sticking around 2, but I've seen everything from 1-5 items drop on full groups.

I DETEST what's coming out of the chest if you don't get a raid item. For a chest that was supposed to (according to the devs) be the top level chest available for that quest I have rarely pulled anything but junk that was too low to even be considered vendor fodder. I means seriously, in my last elite reavers raid I pulled like 1000plat and 5 water breathing potions....and that's it

Full 12 man group on Reaver (elite). Nothing for raid loot at all on 1st run. 1 item in 2nd run. Kinda kills the fun after a bit.

Agreed...raiding is fun but pulling the raid loot is the icing on the cake.

Since I have gained more raid loot in the last month than I had the preceding 18 months... yes I like the new system.

2 more elite reavers 1 item first time, but 2 in second run including +3 cha tome with 3 sorcs and a pally in the group :D. Also I have gotten and seen some sweet nonraid loot drop like a +4 paralyzing Khopesh and a flaming khopesh of smiting, A +5 greater Aberattionbane longsword and some other really nice stuff
