can you just run bam for the ore?.....i thought ive heard of people doing it, just need some tips on which room has the key...and suggestions from those who have done it

The room with the key is random, you can usually backspace the chest though to avoid doing all rooms.
Basically you mostly avoid the end run up the ramp and final fight. I'm not sure what's the fastest way though since I have never done it for ore only.

try a youtube search of Relic Loot ...
There are a few guided videos of how to do this quest easily enough. A few months ago, someone else had one posted that had a complete walkthrough to solo it. My fighter and a friends bard ran it for the ore in under 15 minutes. If you watch these video guids, you should be able to do this pretty easy.

Yep, I always liked Zomm's walk through on youtube for just doing Relic for ore. Its pretty easy to solo as a cleric or caster. Always had a little more problems with melee just from the damage being delt by the drueger
