A tribute to one of my very first characters...

I get all those tricks and locks, sir,
Opened with the
Clicks and knocks, sir.

Here’s an easy game to play.
Here’s an easy one to slay….

Troll on gnoll
and gnoll in box.
Fox in socks,
the box unlocks.

My sword is so quick and slick, sir,
Gnoll and troll go down that quick, sir!

Mr. Fox!
I love this game, sir.
My sword makes my foe quite lame, sir.

Well find something new to do now.
Here is lots of new blue ooze now.
New ooze, blue ooze.
Gooey, gooey.
Blue goo. New goo.
Gluey. Gluey.

I can’t stab such blibber blubber;
My sword isn’t made of rubber!

Well then …
Bring your sword this way.
I’ll find it something it can slay.

When the tweedle beetles battle
With paddles in a puddle,
And the beetle battle puddle is a puddle in a bottle.
They call this a
Tweetle beetle bottle paddle battle.

But when Fox is in the battle,
Then the beetles get all muddled.
And when the foe is fuddled,
they call this a

tweedle beetle
clever Fox
bottle puddle
beetle bollox
paddle battle muddle.

Fox in socks, our game is done, sir.

Loved it - took me back to my days of teaching my son how to read - and getting over his slight lisp. How I miss Dr. Seuss (spelling)
