I know my guildies and friends are likely looking for me in-game, but I won't be back.

The Master's Degree schooling is getting to be too large a workload for me to spend my time playing DDO, and to be honest, the game has gotten really inane for me.

The delay for the current Mod was killer, and the stuff I've done in the new expansion didn't even raise my interest one bit. The constant repitition of the same-old over and over again doesn't draw me back. Plus, the entire lack of long term goals in DDO doesn't do my any favors either. Don't get me started on bugged quests, and the english as a second language GM assistance. (or lack thereof)

Having said that, it's been enormously fun anyway. The people definitely made this year worth staying for, and I've made some great friends. If anyone wants to stay in contact, shoot me a PM here, and I'll give ya my email.

Thanks for all the fish.

-Kol

Goodluck in school. Hate to see anyone go but definitely understand that real life must come first. I was just thinking the other day though boy with the insane amount of quests out now it would be a great time to be a newbie.

a tribute to Kol-

"I can't heal in the tavern! I can't afford to buy food!"
"Come on guys don't you want to group? anyone listening? Anyone??? um, yeah, um, anyone? Why does noone know each other in these Giant guilds?" -An ode to Large guilds...hem hem. You know what im talking about ;)
Canuckely zergging ahead only to die.
"There's nothing I can do!!!! you two are incapped! my healers kits arent working! argggh!!" - bounty hunter
"I can't do anything! my strength is to low! I can't open the door!" (what kind of caster doesn't carry around lesser restore pots, sigh) - Stunny
Theres nothing like waiting for 3 hours in Foundation of discord for a gm due to a bugged rune. And then being told by a gm "theres nothing more I can do, explore the quest more..." Even though combined you, me, and canuckel had completed the quest about 60 times prior and know what we are doing. + there was nothing left to kill.
Ah let the humping commence - start that choo choo train.
"Banger why are you a head taller than everyone else?" - Stunny
Nothing like running through Von4 elite to Haywire on loot and xp weekend only to forget to talk to all the speaking stones. "Did anyone talk to the stone at the beginning? what?!!? Anyone?!! ***?!"
Nothing like being facinated for 10 minutes in pvp "thanks Elornil, sigh".
Whose gonna heal me and canuckel when we go zerging ahead? now that your gone :(

Thats all I can think of for now. You will be missed and send me your email.

Kol's a great bloke and a good friend, and i am sorry to see that he's left the game, its without doubt a big loss. On the plus side, i'll no longer be subjected to the drawn out sighs at my nooberish antics :) take care mate, i'll be in touch.

Razz, i think a choo choo train is well overdue !

Dude! Fall in any lava as of late?

Oh, I got an email from Kol the other day and apparently once you cancel you no longer have forum access. If you want his email, let me know.

I miss the *sighs*. Us driving him crazy with our crazy antics. Him saying we are causing the guild to be the laughing stock of the server.

Mork! You have a stubby B@stard sword! (we spent a good hour comparing sword length didn't we?)

And the train...CHOO CHOO!!!

Thanks for all the fish.

i never knew you in-game or through the forums, but anytime someone signs off with that quote a huge smile crosses my face. :)

it's the same sign-off message i used for SWG and will most likely use when/if this game comes to an end for me (if i post at all).

good luck with your degree, i'm certain that many good fortunes await you.
