View Full Version : Raiding Loot Bug at least on Elite

Hi guys, luthen started a thread on loot mechanic bugs in the development forum and after calculating the probabilites of his own experiences as 1 out of 10000, and some other people have had similar experiences, so they would advise you not to run raids on elite until the loot mechanic is fixed.

I was originally quite convinced by their stories and the probabilities I calculated. However, my guildies and I ran a few reavers today. Got 5, 6, 2 and 3 items in elite 12 man raids. Anymore I am not sure what to believe.

Out of about 5-6 elite raid runs that I have either participated in or fellow guildies have only 1 piece of raid loot dropped. Not very happy about the numbers myself. And yes two of the raids Luthen had mentioned are ones I participated in.

Must be bad luck. Other day ran 3 raids on elite. (One SR, 2 Titans)

First Titan - had Shining Crescents, Int Tome, Chatter Ring
Second Titan - Cha Tome, Int Tome and Nullcloth Gown
SR - Cloudbust and Gauntlets of Eternity

Mechanic is not broke. Ran Reaver with 6 on elite and we got 5 items, one being a +3 Wisdom Tome. That same person, 20th run, got a +3 Intel tome for an end reward.

We are a 6 person guild and have been getting loot on every run, on every level of difficulty.

+3 int tome on end reward? funny i thought they said that +3 tomes were only chest drop, and +2 were end reward.... funny

think what they said was +3 tomes are only raid loot, +2's can still fall in same chest as random loot if run on elite making it a level17 loot table.

+3 Tomes can appear on Reaver 20 raid completion end reward list. Confirmed.

Yep!
My sorc. Sinjed is the wisest sorc. on the server now!(+3 wis tome)
...and since it wasn't in a chest I couldn't give it away to a guildie who could use it either.
.......Stupid raid loot system.
They should at least make raid tomes character friendly, where you click on it, and it'll open up to a small idex.
Like so:
Strength
Intelligence
Wisdom
Constitution
Charisma
Dexterity

.......then you click on which one you want. ;)

I mean who wants to run a raid 20x's on a Pure fighter to get a Charisma Tome?
...and with the rarity they actually fall in the end chest, who wants to give them away?


By the way, how many of you have done a 12 man raid yet and were totally skunked on raid loot?

This is technically correct, however now on your 20th run they offer you your choice of several chest rewards as your end reward.

Our first 3 runs at the Stormreaver after the mod netted us a total of 4 items - 1/2/1 - two of those items were the Ring of Lies lol

However, on our next two runs we netted a total of 7-8 raid items.

All 5 runs were 12-manned on elite.

got skunked again last night running Reaver Elite with Unbound and DWAT..

....great run by the way guys... it was a regular discotheque:D

Making the Raid Chest just like any other in the game kinda sucks. I feel like I now have as much chance pulling raid loot as I do Spiked Boots or something. It's a let-down.

New system sucks for a lot of reasons.

I was thinking the same thing until I saw a +5 sb silver rapier of punturing rr: elf/drow drop. That is one fine level 14 weapon and was better than the actual raid loot.

Ah - well, then maybe I should qualify that by saying it sucks for me. :D

I may have a streak where I pull some nice loot, but over all I tend to have crappy luck with randomly generated pulls. So I think for me at least, raids just got a whole lot suckier.

Missed the raid after where two pieces dropped. Then again it was only on norm.
