I know Vengenance is looking for help with UNDEAD BEHOLDERS in the link below, (can't wait for those  ). My buddies and I are looking for ANY help / tips with dealing with beholders. We are not lucky(?) enough to be getting encounters with these darlings, and we are looking for some help. Is there any ways to avoid Disintegrate? (Other than making the save?) Thanks all!!

Feeblemind will render a beholder utterly useless. It will continue to try and bite you, but that is about it. If you are real lucky your caster will have "enlarge" and will be able to cast on the beholder without drawing agro.

You may want to have the caster try and insta-death spell like PK as well.

flesh to stone, otto dance, bard fascinate and even charm monster can help ya. finger of death and phantasmal killer rocks too. as for disintegrate, you can actually avoid them by running around

as for the tanks, stunning blow works well or if u dun have, get a weighted (best if 5%) weapon.

Feeblemind or Flesh to stone, especially used with enlarge spell feat is the safest way to go. FOD and PK, will agro them by doing damage if they save. The other spells will not agro them if they save......as long as they cannot detect you (like when you are far away and using enlarge) you can cast again until they fail their save.

In theory FtS will get another save, so try to kill them quick....but feeblemind is permanent and is my spell of choice.

run sideways and avoid rays like disintegrate......problem is you hit very badly when trying this and usually get stuck and hit eventually.
I ran around in circles at the Threnal Arena for a very long time and managed to kill at least one beholder out of three chasing me by throwing a returning axe at him.....unfortunately I eventually ran out of luck and got killed, but I avoided a whole lot of disintegrate rays that way.

Bring along a WF Pally/Fighter/Barb/Ranger with a Deathblock Docent, and have everyone hide behind him while attacking :)

For the lower levels, PK works nicely. If you can't get the PK to stick - enervate them first.

Cast on them from behind.

Keep moving.

Cast quickly.

Don't use cloudkill.
