Its all about the bard dude! Ok here is how to do her now… have your bard run out to first base and fascinate as your bard runs away have your first hitter move to first base and start taking it down. Once your bard has second base down have the hitter from first move to second (if he hasn’t gotten the pillar down that’s ok) then the hitter now as second starts taking that one down. As your bard gets to third you have one hitter on second and now a new hitter on first finishing that pillar off do just the nub. Now your bard moves from third to start as your hitters all switch up. Once your hitters finish the pillars it’s a run from first to third as a normal runner would go. So the guy from first runs to second then third and so on. That way the guys on first who will pop from fascinate first are the first ones to be left alone. The good news is that if they do brake they don’t get far from the island before they spring back. You have to do it fast but with a good group it’s not bad at all.

Chippy, he's not talking about dropping the pillars, he's talking about velah herself.
On elite, she does 150+ (non crit) fire damage with her breath and 120+ (non crit) pierce damage using her stomp. Even if she DIDN'T debuff you, your protection from fire would be stripped, your stoneskin obliterated and the next hit would kill you (if you're still alive). The only way you will survive her on elite is if you have evasion (with a high reflex save) and LOTS of hitpoints. (This assuming you just run up to her of course, with a change of tactics it isn't AS bad).
She's way too powerful if you ask me. A group of capped lvl 14 toons that are VERY well equiped should not have that much trouble killing her in a quest of that level.

Hmmm… we didn’t have that much trouble… guess we got lucky. But then we did have a full party. I don’t think we did a full raid party like that in forever.

She's not too powerful...she's a dragon for crying out loud! She wasn't supposed to be a walk in the park.

Well "too powerful" for the level she's supposed to be first done at, that's what I meant.
