I'm surprised you guys saw a bunch of us there today. We spent most the day getting some other of ours and Indago's people ready and only really ran it later for a handful of times to let them see things. Ran the pre-raid so many times I started to lose track of who I was aiming for in mid questioning.

Ingame description used to say -4 to saves, skills, attack and ability checks. Guess they updated since that part never worked right.

PnP one has 3 types, one is this:
-4 penalty on attack rolls (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#attackRoll), saves, ability checks (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/usingSkills.htm#abilityChecks), and skill checks (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/usingSkills.htm#skillChecks).

Not sure if "ability checks" would apply to AC or not tho.. Either way guess there not implemented in DDO yet.

So far it looks like the turn it items give better loot than the raid does...why does this not surprise me.

Give it a chance. Only seen 2 items out of probably 12 or so. For every SoS or DQ googles there is a ventilated bracers.

The clickie on it is what makes it special tho. Allows you to cast maximized spells at no cost with each charge. Each charge only lasts 4 seconds. Is that no cost as in "zero sp" or no cost as in "no additional sp for having maximize turned on"? No idea. I was too busy doing the screenshot thing lol. I'll ask Xenya and get back to you...

if you dont click on the altar to upgrade it you are still holding a good item to use. granted you went into the raid with the 3rd upgrade version which is still a nice item to always keep. If you click on the altar you will lose this item. But you gain a good item. I wont talk about the rewards as I like to keep the excitment there for others. There will most likely be a picture for those and if so you can view from there.
Quest end reward? Yes
Amulet upgrade? yes there is a 4th upgrade
what is it? Don't know my item is missing? oh ****.
Resolution? Yes go to quest giver who gives you trinket for static list of nice items.
What about my trinket though? Well...grab a fresh one and start over.

when you turn in the 4th alter it takes the neck peice from ya. (or trinket) it then gives you a quest reward and you have completed the quest. the diffrence between the 2 rewards are nightshield and sr22 for the 2 factions. yes you can take silver flame after you turn in EC

There sure was enough Zawabi's content on Risia that the first time we (yes, at that time I was still a co-founder of IFV) ran it on the thelanis server everyone knew where to go and ran right through bossing everyone along and not letting anyone explore the new dungeon themselves. Remember? I thought you said something to me about what a shame it was when that happened... hm...

I remember Berry getting in trouble and getting threatened to be banned from the Risia server back when you had to apply to get on because he told everyone about the massive trap in the pre-raid that he had to stay underwater for like 7 hours for.

I think I quit the game not long after that, so perhaps my memory might be foggy. My memory varies a bit from a few things you remember though. So who knows really.

Well than I think you need to spend more time with your family, or invest in a new contraceptive. I don't think that anyone should underplay any type of achievment of this nature. So congratulations are in order no matter how you look at it.

Myself however... I will be more impressed when someone beats the raid by completing the puzzle rooms instead of putting together 10 high damage nuking classes who commit suicide on purpose in order to keep nuking more.

But none the less as long as there are no exploits a kill is a kill.

Both bows would be great to carry around, the only bow I could think of carry besides this one would be smiters, disruptors, banishing and maybe one other situaitonal bow...

I think that means out of the 5 raids (not counting TS), 3 were first beaten by Xoriat/Thelanis. Dragon by IS on Xoriat, Legion (originally from Xoriat) gets the Abbot and IFV on Thelanis for the Reaver if I am not mistaken. Not bad :)

That bow is kinda craptastic. 2d12 average damage is 15 per shot. (6.5 x2 + the plus 2) with a +2 to hit for the enhancement bonus.

The average damage of a +5 flaming longbow is 13 per shot (3.5 + 4.5 + 5) with a _5 to hit for accuraccy.

2d12 looks hot, but - eeh. Its an ok bow. Finally get a raid loot bow and it's less than spectacular. A +5 Acid Longbow with flame arrows for ammo his more often and does more damage.

Anyway.

Shocker here - but congrats Legion. You did bust your asses to get it done. Although - burning through content that fast kinda defeats the purpose of new content.

At least you can say you did it first without any BS disclaimers on it ;)

I'm glad this is over. I never really cared about who's first, but it really bugged me to be guilty of this whole guild vs gulid fiasco simply by association. And I'm very glad it went to you, Legion, who worked as hard as you did (though personally I find the rush to conquer a video game first a bit absurd, congratulations nonetheless). [PS. Woot! That bow is kinda craptastic. 2d12 average damage is 15 per shot. (6.5 x2 + the plus 2) with a +2 to hit for the enhancement bonus.

The average damage of a +5 flaming longbow is 13 per shot (3.5 + 4.5 + 5) with a _5 to hit for accuraccy.

2d12 looks hot, but - eeh. Its an ok bow. Finally get a raid loot bow and it's less than spectacular. A +5 Acid Longbow with flame arrows for ammo his more often and does more damage.

Arrow damage will be the same for either bow, so isn't a factor.

Damage analysis of the two bows:

An elemental longbow is 1d8 + 1d6, bringing the total possible dice roll outcomes to 54, and 13 possible damages

Damages are: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20

Probabilities are: 1/54, 2/54, 3/54, 4/54, 5/54, 6/54, 7/54, 6/54, 5/54, 4/54, 3/54, 2/54, 1/54

Expected value of damage roll is 13.

The raid bow has a possible 144 dice roll outcomes, and 23 possible damages.

Damages are: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26.

15 > 13. Raid bow does more damage.

I expect any level 14 to know when they're fighting an enemy that makes them need the +3 to hit offered by an elemental longbow. At all other times, the raid bow is better.

bs! he left becaust he couldnt take us anymore cuz he always brags about himself and do rotten stuff with raid loots. wants everything greedy as hell. and ended up us beating him up. he challenges everyone to pvp and claims to be best melee class ever build. of course it was proven to be wrong. a pure pally build owned him.
first pvp challenge i got from him. he died 3 times in dm and recalled right away saying if i have delving boots i'd beat u. here we go again, 2nd time hes got the boots on. and funny thing is he uses clickys/scrolls of solid fog and cloud kill on my wizard. LOL dont know whos spell caster whose melee? he lost 2nd time and complained about spawning dead? idk but i did not spawn kill him. dont give me nicknames thats considered namecalling. higher evolution on what rotten minds or ninja loots? lmao i can imagine ppl on your server saying omg youknowwho just youknowhoed my loots. oh wait lol he wont be able to control that anymore thanks to new stupid raid loot system. peace!

wizzy wow. just wow. You must really not know who my chars are. For one i have never done anything rotten with any raid loot. I could care less about raid loot.
2. The last thing i ever am or ever will be is greedy. I have always offered more then fair trades to anyone outside of guild, Take any needed loot last, and if i have anything that a guildie needs its theirs.

3. I have never claimed nor will ever claim i am good at pvp on this game. This game is not a pvp game. There is no balance in it. The only reason i pvped with my batman (who was striped of gear waiting on transfer) was so that the player would get to fight someone. I could care less if i won or lost. ask nexx if you or pyce if you do not believe that. For the record my cleric wrecks your world everytime your sorc gets in pvp so you really have no room to talk. but i could care less again about pvp.

now as to my epeen attomic way to take one line outa the whole thread and totally mis read it. It was a actual thank you to IFV for competeing against us please if you cannot figure it out get on the game and send a tell to Klergy so i can explain my post in a manner which you might understand. Im pretty sure the batman wizzycat is refering to is mine. Yes, wissy you beat my tank in pvp (what an accomplishment beating a melee class in pvp with a caster, and wasnt that like 6 months ago?). I have been making friends, playing new content, and ow yea beating the Abbot. Do you have any new accomplishments you can brag about, or is beating my tank in pvp the crown jewel of your DDO career.
