About to unlock 32 pt build and want to make a melee type. I am looking for something that does good damage, crits and saves. More worried about damage output and resisting holds and what not then pure ac. AC is nice but hold person makes it a mute point, and if I can drop, para, disrupt something it can't hurt me. Are there any well known builds like this? If so please link me to them.

Thanks. ^^

Warforged Barbarian. Clerics and casters will hate you, but it meets your needs.

Or take a hit on DPS a bit and go DPS/evasion paladin/rogue, great saves.

Saves --> No fear of Hold Person. I can't even remember the last time I was holded.

What is your build, your sig link seems to not be working?

Also any comments on TWF and kops as fighter or barb? To many choices!

Yeah, I'm too lazy/busy to repost it after the forum's nuking. I'm a 12 fighter/2 paladin with high AC. I can post the great lines if you want, but my main point is that with great will saves, you don't get hold a lot.

Jack,

Pretty much all the builds that splash paladin and can get to a 20+ cha are what you're looking for. Saves and AC bonuses are the primary reason many of us mix pali into our fighter builds. I'd look at the splash builds and then figure out what you want the character to focus on and build from there.

Take it easy

You want a palladin / fighter mix most likely.

TWF is a good way to deal damage, so is Two handed fighting. If you are making a paladin mix and don't care so much about AC, then I'd suggest Two Handed Fighting because it gives you more stat points to dedicate to charisma and thus good saving throws.

3 levels of paladin is usualy the sweet spot if you just want the saving throw boosts. Many take two levels of rogue to get evasion and access to the UMD skill. I think 32pt human is about the best race for that build, although Dwarf has its advantages.

/agree

I run the crystals on Titan (without buffs), because of my high saves. I only fail Hold Person on a 1, as I do with most of my saves.
